Nice man. Wife is on her way home from work. Heading to the cabin for the weekend. An all Becker blade extravaganza, haha. Rain permitting, that is.

Sweet! Looks like we are both going to have some stuff to show when we get back. Have an awesome and safe trip!

Looks enjoyable, where are you going?

I am going with some buddies to one of our regular haunts in the Jefferson Wilderness. Firecamp Lakes area. Google Map Fort Kickass, that is where we will be :D.

Just found out from one of the guys that there is still a ton of snow up there, making the trail somewhat difficult to navigate. Should be an adventure...

Sweet, any place with that kinda name in Google Maps has got to be at least adequate. :D

Been digging, couldn't find the answer... Did Ethan design the Moses? Or just the Bundok? Thanks all.

Hi BRL. Its great to see you here. Its a BK 20 that was ground a little different by a Kabar designer named Mr Moses.

Here is what they say about it at Kabars website.

Sometime in the process of prototyping you run across an unexpected design that you like so well you just have to bring it to market. This LIMITED EDITION Becker "Moses" Bowie was an iteration of the BK20 design that our in-house design engineer, Mr. Moses, developed. We liked it so well we named it after him and turned on the production line to offer you a limited quantity blade we think you're going to love!

With a stronger clip-blade profile, the Moses Bowie features a 1095 Cro-Van blade that is about 0.25" shorter than the Bundok. It also features a slightly less pronounced integrated guard, weighs approximately 0.05 lb less and comes with a tan heavy-duty polyester sheath.

From what I have found from prior threads and pictures shared when the Bk20 and BK29 came out, THIS POST shows the prototype that would become BK20 (uncoated) alongside the BK29 and finished BK20. With that in mind, it looks like the design of the proto is more like Mr. Moses' design, with Ethan making it look prettier and IMNSHO more functional. After the BK20 sold out, it seems like Ka-Bar decided to release the original proto design as well probably in another attempt to flush out some backstock of BK5s and Snakecharmers with the reward of another Becker-handled blade.

Thanks gents, much appreciated. The Bundok is the first knife in years to grab me, of course I missed it, and I'm trying to decide whether to at least grab the stepchild!

The Moses was actually the first prototype drawing -- E made changes and both versions were produced as prototypes for him to try out and decide which he wanted made.
the result was the BK20 Bundock bowie.
a year later, a run of the first proto was produced as the BK29 Moses Bowie.

I've been here and there. Getting some things around the house/yard done, working, fishing, playing on my PS4, etc. Just finished getting our little boat ready to take out yesterday. I'm hoping to use the heck out of it this summer. What's everyone been up to?

First Becker on order in half a decade. I need another giant knife like I need a hole in my head, but that never stopped me before :) The Bundok and Moses are pure boner fuel.

Question: I'm going to sell some of my Beckers, including a few semi collectibles. Probably will get a gold membership to do it. Should I post them here first? I figure some new Beckerheads might want to beef up their collections.

mmm, well. last two day have been forced labor in the yard. day one included mass debris removing around the pool inside and outside, pruning, and pushing back some of the hardier species :D day two was similar but involved removing basically all sizes of the common maple and oak saplings, white pines, and anything else i didn't want to keep; keepers are black birch, elm, beech, sassyfrassy, and some of the shrubberies that aren't dead - pushing the forest back another 20 feet to make the front "yard" bigger and along the driveway. then of course, the day ends after everything is chipped and tools put away.

gotta get my wood craft kit together and sharp - i have various odd balls of broadaxes and augers and spudder and froe(s), and they are all vintage and need fixing up; so set up and learn the slow stone, sharpening orgy, and ... so much fun. much thanks to Trade for sending over a real nice old froe for country woodcraft style hacking :D

but today, slow. recovery. anime. maybe a bicycle ride if it's not raining, find a trail. ease on down the road.

you can add a link to the sale thread in your sig line, but you can't post up an actual sale thread outside the exchange.

Mmm yardwork seems to be a theme this time of year. So much work... never enough time.

also, it's proper to offer the working mod (me!) a look-see and first refusal first ;)
