I dunno bout being a full-time hermit...but I HAVE to get away by myself every once in awhile. Just Me, Myself and I. And maybe Mr. Beam ;)

Oh, I could do it for sure! That Eustace dude on Mountain Men has the perfect set up if he'd just boot the people off his farm.

Does anybody else feel that they would do well as a hermit? There are times when I just really want to be alone and tell people to piss off.

Oh, hell yes. It's the last "to do" item on my bucket list, especially if the kids start hinting at an old-folks home some day.

Or sooner, depending on how the election goes this Nov. :grumpy:

had a ruff day at the office. I need a drink.

also, covered in kydex dust. itchy.

also, Todds warnie makes a GREAT kydex knife....thin sharp edge/blade, great size....perfect point design to clear out the rivet holes and trim the excess off the edges after I cut it. Been using it all day...that's the task I bought it for...so Im happy it is perfect for it.

Stainless hardware is smexy. Should be factory. Thanks to my fellow 'Head for the tweener SS....dang things are hard to find.

My bro's 15 got upgraded too, he likes the shiny....he's like a squirrel LOL

Looks great! To me, that's the perfect 17.

yup looks good I have stainless on a few of my big ones but not the tweeners yet.

The stainless for full-size is easy to find, I just have to grind them down shorter....but I aint seen the tweener size anywhere. I put SS on all my Beckers if I can, the black ones corrode quick, and the SS just looks better IMO. I wonder if they have SS in the 14 zytel size?

Thanks Bryan, Im pretty partial to that 17 myself LOL

Also my BK9 has a date with a grinder....

My BK9 and I had a date last night with the grinder and it didn't go so great. So...now I'm 9-less and have an ongoing project that I'm hoping I can salvage into the 8 inch or so drop point design that I submitted for Crimson's contest. I figure that at least I got something better to do that shop for new knives.

I put painter's masking tape on my Condor blades, to sand and danish oil the scales. One was on for a day, the other just a few hours. I couldn't believe how bad that crap stuck to the blade. Good ol WD-40 to the rescue. Also, I found out that Danish oil will loosen the glue up on the scales. ;) I'm talking the glue to hold the scales to the blade glue.

Anybody here own an emerson cqc-7 or spyderco paramiltary 2? Which one would you recommend?

They have an Ace hardware around your parts? Last time I was there I thought I saw some SS ones that looked about the size of the tweeners. I will have to look closer next time I am there.

Crazy what these R/C helicopters are capable of:

Your right Warrior. That is pretty cool. But I promise you. If that guy flying the heli ever saw a vagina that video would have never been made!

I have a few para2's and generally don't leave home without one. Great knife for sure.

Went out to a place called Sullys Hill with the gf tonight to kill some time. Its a national game preserve in some hilly and wooded area south of the lake here on the reservation. Figured I would share a few pictures with everyone.

Buffalo right at the entrance, hanging out around the water.

My favorite part that has a deck that overlooks the lake is closed off because the road leading out of it is under water right now.

This guy barely caught my eye as we were driving by. I had to zoom in quite a bit to get a picture of him. He was probably 150 yards off the road and moving around, so we didn't see him long.

Steps that we usually climb, but it was just too darn hot and muggy today to climb something like 175 stairs.

Musta been dinner time for the buffalo, they were headed towards some more open areas with a bunch of grass as we were leaving.

Took this picture in the same place a few years ago. Not sure if it is the same elk or not, but he sure is nice looking.

Haha. :D

Awesome photos ac700wildcat. I love North, and South Dakota. My wife and I were at the Theodore Roosevelt State Park a few years ago. Really nice place. I think the name of the town there was Medora, iirc.
