Which folder makes the best noise when opened

?

William Henry Spearpoint. No noise at all - just a light click at the end when the liner locks in place. Smooooth.

I've got the schizophrenic blues
No I don't
Yes I do...

The original al handled Spyderco crickets were kind of cool. (have not heard the new ones)
Sebenzas are also pretty distinctive.

Ah what the heck I like most of them

Sorry guys, but Im going to have to go with the m16-14LE. When that big blade locks in to place, it makes a sound that intimidates all but the finest cuttable pieces of string.

the coolest sounding opening would have to be the almighty "THWACK" from my whirlwind.

I immediately thought of something "Zen," like "the sound of one hand clapping" koan.... I was thinking of asking "What did the Military look like before Sal Glesser was born." OOPS! Been reading too much Chuang Tzu recently..dreams of butterflies and such (is that why I bought all those Benchmades?)....or maybe it's the cranberry juice.
Personally, I don't think any other knife I own sings as beautifully as my Spyderco Military, when I hit the hole with my thumb. Few people realize that the loud, crisp "CLICK" at the end of the blade's outward travel is really the shockwave generated as the sound barrier is broken.

CS Scimitar!!!

Better, more expensive knives don't make such a sweet sound at lock-up.

Whack!!! (Real Loud & Scary sounding)

Music to my ears!!

For some reason, I like the sound of my titanium knives the best. I have no idea why.

A Benchmade Model 45. I used to drive Mr. George at George and Son Cutlery crazy looking for ones that made perfect notes.

Cant make my mind between Spyderco Wengers(small sounds good too) and Kershaw big Starkey Ridge (1416)

My old model MT SOCOM Elite clunks close like a bank vault. Sounds like it would probably take a crowbar to break it loose.

I guess the day is coming when we can find "Top 20 liner lock sounds" featuring MicroTech, Spyderco, etc on cassette and CD. Would probably sell better than David Hasselhoff's debut album too :O

I used to have a very illegal switchblade that my friend got me from Mexico, that thing had a 5 inch blade and when you pressed the button it flew out with a very evil "snick" sound.

Knife newbie.
So far - CRKT Kasper (the big one), Kershaw Ken Onion Ricochet.

The best sounding folder I have is, without question, my Tops Magnum. Truly sounds "sexy". Opens with two neat, wonderful, quality clicks. Closes with 1 of the same wonderful sounds. I have a number of folders from a good number of makers and this is the best sounding one by far!

Gotta be the Chinook! Saw it described as the sound of a Caddilac door closing, think it compares more to a Remington 870 racking!
