The Striderettes would totally still order it:D

The striderettes are actually McBurger and Dwyer’s wives. There are sites that sell their abortive attempt at making knives as well.

Marissa Strider knife.... i believe it is McBurger’s wife, only a grand and a half.

Dwyer’s wife Sheila doesn’t bear the Strider name so her masterpieces only go for a cool two fiddy!

Yes, it's stupid, but isn't that their target market? For the tacticool ninjatard Gecko45 types that love Strider this thing could sell like hotcakes. Pointy shankatron! Tactical rainbow stripes! Over thirty seconds of work required to build it (but just barely)!

I don't even mind that aspect of it. There's always going to be the Gecko45 types that watch too many video games down their mothers basements while stuffing themselves with hot pockets. There's always too many with more money than brains to buy the tacticool junk. But, they just may grow up someday. There's hope for them of some kind of eventual enlightenment, no matter matter how slim the possibility is.

BUT...for lying bastids like Micky Burger, a low life that got arrested and busted out of the army as a buck private, to be guilty of stolen valor, is a crime. That he continues to profit by his outright lies is more than disgusting. As a veteran 50% disabled from active duty injuries, my feelings on Burger are very hostile. That he's even given a venue at knife shows and advertising media angers me, as does all low life scum guilty of stolen valor.

Unbelievably, this is the second tactical spatula/trowel/cake tool I've seen on this forum recently. Is this the new big untapped market? For those times when you're not sure whether you'll be spreading spackle, serving up a slice of tasty cake, or having to shank a fool for dissing your elite totally made up Army spec ops (Mick)/Marine sniper (Duane) background . . .

Mick is a lying thieving ranger impersonator. He founded his business on the back of real heros and continues to profit from it. He is a fraud and deserves to be shamed eternally.

A dude with a forum summed it up well.

It is pretty firmly established now that both Mick Strider and Duane Dwyer are liars and posers. Why did they do this? What was the agenda?

Were they jealous of the guys that had actually been there and done that? Or was it just a way to make a fast buck, while stealing the valor of actual operators like Bob Horrigan, who died on his last tour in Iraq? Or did they just think they would not get caught if they were careful enough? I can not answer these questions.

One thing is certain - they did not give a damn about doing the right thing. Words like "honor" or "integrity" or "accountability" or even "faith" were just empty talk. Even when caught repeatedly, lying was still the first choice.

It is especially sad that guys that have walked the walk got suckered and conned. Lord knows I wasn't the first person fooled by them, nor the last, so please don't target Mahwhinney or others that were duped; save your ire for the liars themselves and those the choose to aid and support deciet. There are no excuses left at this point.

Nor is there any cause for celebration or gloating; this is a shameful period for us as a community. This is not about credit. Or bragging rights. Or "jealousy" "competitors" "agedas" or "grudges". It was about stopping liars from using the blood and sweat of servicemen as a sleazy way to market themselves.

A lot of people could have stepped up earlier. The right thing could have been done repeatedly, but I understand; peer pressure is tough. Freebies earn leeway. Money talks. It can be tough to tell a friend they are doing wrong. A number of people enabled this.

There are so many legit combat veterans out there that using any military background to pad your resume as a knifemaker means nothing.

That is one of many reasons I don't really talk about my service unless it's pertinent to discussion.

He might as well say "I vape/vegan/crossfit" too.

Oh wow! You were in the military!? I worship you! And not in a way that honours your service just cause I can buy something from you and basically become a navy seal!

Of course carrying a backpack is a special job in the military, so might as well call yourself a Spec Operator. I mean aren’t we all specialists doing operations after all?

All jokes aside you are special though Charlie Mike.

It looks like a colourful prison shiv, lol!

Even if I did like it (which I do not) I could never support stolen valor. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I ever purchased one of his knives knowing up front what he has done.

I'm amazed that so many continue to purchase his wares, and for high prices on some models at that.

No thank you.

What shocks me is honestly the price. Seems overall pretty useless, but $100, seems pretty low priced for anything coming from those guys.

Even Mick might think he is going to have a tough sell here.

Looks like a lot of the people posting in this thread didn't notice the part about "The Blade: This full tang construction, Non-Sharpened Spike is made from flame anodized, 1⁄8" thick titanium. It forms a direct point that will make a great backup."

That's not a knife. (It's not a spoon either.) It's a piece of sheet metal with some cord wrapped around one end. (You don't have to hold it by that part, though; you can hold it anywhere you want. What will you do with it while you're holding it? I dunno....)

I was a specialist performing many mafia-related shamming operations.

Google "Fred Perrin Tactical Spike". For same price you get old round file welded with ball from bearing as tactical spike, or just a big nail forged from carbon steel. I like some Perrin works but it's a little bit pathetic.

Thats basically what the WWII 'Commando Nail' was.

One version (whether SOE 'authorized' or not I dont know) is even more basic; a tine from a pitchfork with cord on it for a 'handle.'

Yep, a basic chunk of unsharpened metal is all you get these days with the Strider crew. :) Shame on gpknives also for carrying the junk.
