The Strider Nail

I shouldn't hate so much, I'm in the shiv game. I made this one years ago from an old chipped up flat head I found on the side of the road. It didn't cost me 100 bucks and it's got a better grip.... LOL, 100 bucks for a piece of scrap. Amazing.

I wouldn't have been shocked if they were sold out. He does seem to have a market for this stuff.
My guess is it is just fun for him to do these scrap type knives and see what he can come up with. It works out great if someone is actually willing to buy them, but I'm not his market.
While these are pretty expensive for what they are, They are pretty low priced on the Strider scale of pricing.

Mick Strider and his bad reputation? I decide on the merits of the product, not on the past life of the person who produces it. Lots of controversy over Mr. Strider on this and other forums, but think of how many things we all purchase in our lives that may be made by companies led by, or employing, people with possibly unsavory past histories. I want to judge the knife, not whether I want Mr. Strider as a buddy. But I do bet he’s an interesting character.

What I do know for sure regarding this issue is that the Strider SMF is one of my best folders, and one that I carry quite often. Be Well.

Way to bump a thread that died to say you don't care what anyone does, that you only care about the product they make.

Life is full of jerks, if I have a choice because I KNOW someone is a scum bucket... I'll choose every time to spend my money else where. We don't always know or have a choice in who we support, in this hobby we do.
 
Shiney, these types always pop up in the treads about Burger.

We can decide with whom to deal and/or buy knives from.

I personally dont like to support unsavory types, car jackers, felons nor stolen valor pond scum - especially when they are all rolled into one.
As evidenced, others dont have any qualms n that regard.

Speaking of unsavory types; these threads are good for sorting the wheat from the chaff in regards to whom you dont want to neither sell nor buy knives from on the sales forum

A couple of thoughts before moving on. Thread Bump? I merely added to what has already been said earlier this month. And Shiney and BladeScout? Many of the allegations against Mr. Strider are that. And I don’t have the time nor inclination to vigorously study the background of company leaders that I do business with. These types? You know nothing about me.

I’m not nominating him for sainthood, I just like his knives. Apparently in your two minds that puts me in the same shunned category as Strider himself. And you two now not wanting to deal with me here on BF? Frankly never heard of either of you until your slamming of my opinion. Hope I can survive your troll like rejection. Move on, guys.

There are plenty of threads on the subject - not least by the owner of this forum who exposes Burger exactly for what he is.

Because many of us here don't separate the people or person behind the product from the product. Who makes the knives IS related to the knife by the way.
