The Strider Nail

Everyone have a great week. Going to be sunny and warm in Silver Springs, Maryland. Finally.

So what if mods post in w&c? Lol. Not everyone conducts themselves the way you do.
Ah way to ignore the rest of the post. The owner of this site is fully aware of w&c and many of the mods are in there. If it was as bad as you claim then what does that say about them????

You have a bone to pick because you were "picked on" and disliked over how you treat people who brought up negative things against survive...

Whine and cheese can be a tough place for a fool. No doubt.

No way dude. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I just dont believe in beating a dead horse. Survive are trying to fix their mistakes but have people making that harder for them. Only making the situation worse.

I have no bone to pick. Its the internet. Do you really think I hold grudges over a forum? Get a grip. All of melting down now is currently dedicated to ragging on me. Clearly a group of you have bones to pick.

No hard feelings shiny. Continue your endeavour to rip on me. It really doesn't fuss me.

So what's the story on this knife? Didn't make the first cut on Forged in Fire or something and now they're trying for a quick buck?

Dude. You are missing the point. A user is getting ripped on for liking a product not MS. He simply concludes it is a good product. No one here is defending MS.
Again I ask; if you concluded a product was good after testing before finding out what MS did, would you then turn around and say his product sucks? Thats what it seems like you guys expect.
I'd keep my mouth shut about it.

I picked up a brkt before finding out how many people around here Mike Stewart screwed over and although the knife I got happened to be a decent one that doesn't mean I'd ever recommend him when there are other options available.

I don't subscribe to the philosophy of "just because I wasn't personally screwed over it makes his actions okay".

Still, I do not see anyone recommending a strider, defending MS or supporting him. I see lots of assumptions. But still, no truth to these. Everyones hot headed because I said we shouldnt be ripping on a user who said his SNG is a good knife. Really? Is this what this forum is coming too? And I am the:rolleyes: crazy one

Don't like the forum? Log out. Or keep complaining that usually works out.

Nice attempt to ghost edit too. Glad I got it quoted.

I won't rip on someone who owns a SnG. It might be a fine knife.

However I will rip on Mick and Duane for calling it that. Until they show the royalty payments made to the families of Sergeant First Class Shughart and Master Sergeant Gordon.

I would do the same to Spyderco if they came out with a model called the Audie Murphy. But we all know Sal has way more class than that.

Go ahead, rip on Mick and Duane. Like I have been trying to say, I am simply against anyone ripping on a user for owning a SNG.
But now its esculated into me supporting MS and defending him

Casually mentioning owning a strider is generally going to be ignored. Dig up a dead thread to justify supporting a scumbag and you should expect that it's going to ruffle some feathers.

Actually the morality of knifemakers is part of what this forum is about, and the official stance here against cloners demonstrates that.

Correct! Otherwise why have a forum. Plenty of sales websites with knives that have no discussion attached. Forum allows people who are passionate about a company, their workers, their success, and the values they stand for. If their values don't fit with mine, why would I go out of my way to support them?

This could be a good case for a class action lawsuit.

Strider clearly built their business on false advertising. Surely their knives do exist and can cut but the prices the charged and their fame and growth of the business both hinged on the lies they told.

Now that they've been found out tens of thousands of knife buyers find themselves with blades in their collections that are defacto worthless.

A lawsuit would never return those funds but perhaps it could end their business and prevent any others form that fate.

They were?

Im not in a position to dispute your statement, its more of a question.

I was under the impression, that there was not much to hang on to (literally and figuratively) and that the 'lapel and thumb implements' were more of a last ditch very VERY deperate thing under the heading of 'I dont really fancy getting my finger nails pulled off by the SD and this small piece of pointy metal is better than biting that guy with the pliers' sort of thing.
That is my understanding of the lapel daggers etc. issued to Allied Spies for a way to kill or incapacitate if discovered by a Gestapo agent etc..

To change subjects, if you'd like, Survive! got themselves into the mess by not fulfilling orders, a cardinal rule in sales. And it wasn't for a little bit either, it looks like it's their entire business model. So because they suck, you want the mean people to go away? What sense does that have, if it's harder for them good. What made the situation worse was how they took people's hard earned money and didn't give them a product in return, not people giving them a hard time.
