The swell center form is one that seems to have caught the cutlery artisan's imagination. It has found its expression in many patterns. It captivates thoughts and stirs the emotions. Let us revel in its expressions from the swell center congress to the swell center jack and every coke bottle in between :D

Fine idea Gev, and as always, some choice composition from you. That old one sits well amongst the beautiful acorns.

I'll continue the 'nut' theme, this one a GEC Conductor atop a Pecan pie I made, the sweet of tooth would not have been deceived....:D

Thanks, Will

Here's another: Queen Heritage Woodsman, a burly knife in contrast to the Conductor from GEC.

Two of my favorites...pecan pic and conductors!! And that is one extra special conductor  The Heritage is a real gem too!

Wow...since 1961 and an Ulster! What a heirloom! Just a treat to see :D I have a Camillus and its such a great knife...I need to give it some pocket time

Christian
Just a smashing Forum knife! Thanks for the look

That is one fine Moose! Who made it ?

I have to admit I'm a little confused about Swell Centres though...some knives only have the 'hump' or swell on one edge of the frame e.g. The Norfolk or GEC's Eureka et al. Do they count too? Or must it be a 'double hump' symmetrical swell?

Here's a Schatt that the worms have toured through, it's defo double hump..:D

In my mind, the Norfolk counts with its swell on one side but the Eureka might be a little too curvy to qualify, but I'll let the possessor decide :D;) This is a reference I like to refer to on patterns : http://www.knifecollector.net/PocketKnifePatterns.html. If others have one you like, please post the link

Edit: your link is there in my quote but your image is not showing for me, Will:confused:

That, sir, is a Tuna Valley. I am very impressed with Tuna Valley, although I only have one so far. I'm looking for more :)

Thank you and may your dreams come true!

Will, I am impressed by the quality of the knives you show!
kamagong I wish I had known of Blade forums earlier, this looks like a killer!

Arathol - Wonderful group of swell centers.
Can you tell what the bottom one is please.
Thank you

The only two I have, my Ohta whittler and the Robeson I asked him to base it on (but bigger :) )

Chip...I always get excited when someone says Ohta but that one makes ones heart race! I have never seen that particular beauty of a Robeson before. What a treat and thanks for the look. Feel free to post multiple angles of either again...lol :D

A fine cherry specimen indeed! Thank you for sharing it

This old Robeson (1922-'39) swell center pen is my favorite of the pattern. Can't resist the tip bolsters and butterscotch bone.

This Blue Grass Cutlery Winchester (1990) is another beautifully made example.

1983 Frank Buster Celebrated Fight'n Rooster stag jack is an unusual pattern, but does have a swell center.
