Thank you, ITE, for another SPS. Look forward to another show filled with great Buck knives.

Thanks to Makael for picking up this twin to his 192 BO for me. This is a very simple, handsome knife. Preston

Here is the special edition redbone set from 1989. For a lot of the sets, both the 305 and 309 had 1988 stamped blades. In my set the 305 is stamped 1988 and the rest are 1989.

One thing that I always liked about Buck is the very cool knives there employees received. Since 2007 I've seen better than 100 different one's from very early to the cool flag 119. The service award Bucks for 5,10, and 20 year plus are some of the best works of art Buck created! Getting a fantastic rare knife has got to be one of the best perks in the industry. And I have never seen or heard of another knife manufacturer that honors there employees like Buck does...

That 55 is SWEEEETT!! What a nice way to recognize an employee. Thanks for posting that.

And thanks, Armand, for your weekly contribution.

Another 116 Caper for the show but not quite as nice as Craig's. I found this in a work bench drawer a few days ago and have absolutely no idea of when or where I got it. Took a picture of it to add to the data base so might as well post it too. I'm guessing I paid $20 for it.

Bert, I have several of these Redbone sets and like you I noticed the knives were not always the same date code. The one I just pulled is exactly like the one you show. The 305 is 1988 and all the others 1989. I understand these were a Smoky Mountain issue. They are not listed in the Special Projects List and have never seen a build quantity for them. /Roger
