The Sunday Picture Show... (12-10-2017) . . . OLD Show Look At the DATE...

I agree with everyone else for the most part, in that I don't want a billboard on the blade itself proclaiming how special it is. Perhaps a simple "LE" or "Limited Edition" in script on the pile side of the ricasso is warranted though.

For instance, you look at any of these "Limited Edition" knives that Buck puts out in their "Legacy Collection" and they look like no other Buck knife made. If you have a mark from the factory, you could verify its authenticity. With no mark at all, one might take it as a counterfeit. 20 years in the future, someone might be thankful for such a mark. If some of these other makers can put 3 or 4 lines of text on the ricasso of a little slip-joint, there should be enough space there for a tastefully done makers mark or LE proclamation. Just keep it off the blades useable surface.

For me, a COA with run quantity information and the accompanied paperwork in a black limited edition box with a gold elastic tie is perfect.

I think that special tang stamps like the BCCI and some others are fine. With the laser etching Buck should be able to put all the info in a small space...as a tang stamp. Preston

how easy would it be for them to stamp LE on the face of the guard like the old western knives have stamps there????

was a great show, great stuff everyone. thanks much.

shouldnt the date have been the 10th since it was the sunday show?:)

Here's one of my favorite 112s, but I'd like it even more with a plain blade!

Okay everybody, we had a great show. Lots of beautiful buck knives and great pictures. It was my bad I put the wrong date should have been the 10th. I started working on it my time I believe it was Sunday morning early couldn't sleep. So the show was Sunday the 10th. Maybe I should start drinking coffee again. But tell you the truth it just sucks getting old. Thanks again everybody that shared and made a comment. Remember any buck knife will do. A beautiful one a ugly one or used one beat up one Broken Blade. As long as it's a buck.

Thanks again, ITE
