OH,
You're spot on stating that a lot of "good stuff" is being posted this Sunday. I really like both of your knives for a particular reason....more on that.
I don't know what a couple of things you wrote meant, and I think it's because I've only been seriously interested in Buck knives since last summer. Based on the bold I've put into your post, I don't know what "NOS" means? Nor do I know what "the Camillus era" means??
OK. What I especially liked about your two knives is the "classic logo" on the handles as compared to what I mostly see now --- the name "BUCK" within an oval insert. For a while, I've been looking for a Buck Toothpick, and actually found a 385 at an internet knife store with the classic logo. So I ordered one. I got the Toothpick this week, it is quite nice, and has some really nice-looking wood handles. [Wood is my favorite "look" at a knife]. Although the knife was advertised with the classic logo, this is the knife they sent to me:
I was disappointed not to get the classic logo. Called the knife shop, and the rep checked with Buck and the knife with the classic logo is not available. The web had not been updated. So that leaves me at a loss on how to find Buck knives with the classic logo.
Are they no longer being produced that way?
Is there somewhere I can find Bucks with that, what I think, is an iconic logo?
Thanks for any insight you may share....
I know this isn't a typical SPS photo post sharing about the logo. But it did give me a chance to post this new Toothpick. Just my "
small
contribution" to today's show!
Again, really like your 301....thanks for posting.

Man, lot of pictures up early this Sunday - good stuff! I acquired a couple of
NOS Buck pocketknives from the Camillus era this past week; a 301 and a 313. OH
