That Jarrah-handled cadet is a beautiful knife! If you don't mind my asking, did you re-scale that yourself? Also - is it one of the newer Comfortcraft models w/ rounded bolsters, or did you (or someone else) smooth the bolsters out?

Betcha some of you didn't know that BUCK made a 121 Scaler in 2005. This one bears the Idaho date stamp for 2005.

I did the work myself. It started out with Diamondwood scales and I found it a bit 'blocky'. I re-profiled the grip when I replaced the scales. This was before the Comfortcraft models became available.

Jarrah grows in Western Australia and is commonly used for flooring and building. It is hard and durable and I have replaced the scales on quite a few knives with it (no other Bucks as yet).

ITE, here is what Joe said about the 121 scaler pictured in this Sunday Picture Show.:

"For the 2010 Blade show we made 20 model 121 Fisherman knives from blades we had in inventory. They are stamped with the Idaho outline stamp. They have a standard handle/pommel/guard. There were only 20 made because that was all the 121 sheaths we could find in the building."
