Sorry about the departure from the theme but it's what I have in my pocket today. :)

C Chilebrown Good picture of your Gold etched 112. I only seem to be able to get good pictures of those if I can do it outside in natural light. I see your knife has that pesky little extra dot on the tang after the date code.

A custom 120 I fished out of the Bay a few years ago. It came to me naked, no sheath, box, or information. I've paired it with a custom sheath I had in my extras box. The sale description was "bone" but I think it is stag. I think it is a contemporary customization on an older blade. The 3-line stamp gives little clue to the blade's age but I'm thinking it is a 425m steel so 82-85 based on the grind. My reasoning is that the 440C blades had the semi-hollow grind with the pronounced thickened edge. If DM was still here he would know, he was the blade grind whisperer. The handle is excellently done, its no hack job. The knife looks to me like the type of thing Joe Houser would have done. Anyone have any thoughts on that? Any similar handled knives out there with a known maker?

Thankyou on the picture. Taking images of etches with mirror finish can be challenging. You can still see a reflection of something in the background on top of blade. As far as the pesky dot I have no clue. The "Buck Special Projects List" has this listed as a 1987 tang stamp released in 1988 with 4000 produced. This is also a 110. Thanks for putting on the show.
