interesting that it appears to have a really long fuller, almost 120 or 620 ish in size.
Oops, you caught me, I mislabeled, the knife IS a 620, not a 619.interesting that it appears to have a really long fuller, almost 120 or 620 ish in size.
Preston, for someone who does not care for the 120, you have managed to acquire some very nice ones. The 120 has never really appealed to me, I do have some and will post the photos starting off with the 'ugly duckling' the 620 Campmate...were both the 119 and 120 variants called Campmate?
Thank you, you and others have posted some very spectacular ones, making this SPS, like others, special.you have managed to acquire some very nice ones.![]()
This one is actually impala, I do have a jigged buffalo alsoYes, Makael's knife is pretty sweet.
Now about yours, I am always confused about these.
Is it really Impala or simulated Impala using jigged Buffalo horn?
First, and only, General in my collection on the left with a few Cocobolo cohorts.View attachment 1630072
A 1966 Buck dot with lots of provenance.

120 General with Melamine handle. Things to notice here are fiber spacers and pinned pommel. All Melamine knives I have seen are leather and barrel nut. Correspondence with Larry Oden suggests a repair /rehandle. He mentions this in Holding An Edge on page 21.
