Here's a BN 120.

Thank you, Roger, for again hosting the Sunday Picture Show. Thanks to all of you for posting photos and the comments today.

The 120 has never really appealed to me, I do have some and will post the photos starting off with the 'ugly duckling' the 620 Campmate...were both the 119 and 120 variants called Campmate?

Then the 120 Cocobolo that had a110 as it's running mate...Costco or Sam's Club special.

Next an older one, late 70s or early 80s.

Then another from 1988.

Now I'm just searching old files looking for 120 pictures. Here is an interesting set of 13 120's spanning 50 years, about 1963 to 2013. Progressing downward from oldest to newest.

Preston, for someone who does not care for the 120, you have managed to acquire some very nice ones.

In post #64 I had a typo. The knife IS a 620 CampMate. Sorry for the confusion.
The 619 has two names, WoodsMate (black) or GameMate (Olive Drab)

Some old photos for the show, then off to the rack. Work in the morning.

120 General with Melamine handle. Things to notice here are fiber spacers and pinned pommel. All Melamine knives I have seen are leather and barrel nut. Correspondence with Larry Oden suggests a repair /rehandle. He mentions this in Holding An Edge on page 21.

Thats a special one in my book, never seen one like this before.
Tanks for sharing with us, I love the older buck knives with a story.

Probably starting to sound like a broken record but thanks to all who played this week. Hope to see you all again next week. Feel free to continue posting and discussing here until then but save something for the next show.

With the pandemic I did not travel any last year and plan to visit my older brother in New York next week. I'll hide all the knives so don't get any ideas. I'll start the September 5th show Saturday night then you are on your own to play without me. I'll be needing a guest host for Sunday the 12th. Jay Leno was not available, neither was Armand, but he recomended his old standby James Gedlick. He will host the September 12th show. I'll take my laptop so I can keep an eye on you all. No theme next week so players choice. /Roger ( gedlicks gedlicks )

Very nice Mike. Will Joe continue making customs on his own or is he going to be on a multi year fishing trip?
