Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

187 Intrepid I Tanto with a 5.5" blade, also offered with a Chisel Point blade. Marked BUCK over U.S.A. without a model number or date code. There was also a larger version, the 189 Intrepid II with a 6.75" blade. Designed by Kit Carson, these were not in the catalog very long. New in the 1998 catalog addendum, only the Tanto versons appear in the 2001 catalog. The larger 189 Tanto survived alone in the '02 catalog. The 4th picture is the description from the 1998 catalog. The 5th picture shows both the Tanto and Chisel versions together.

pjsjr pjsjr , your 639 is a beautiful mix of traditional and military/conventional design. Was it something Buck offered or a custom from Remer or another?
Thanks, I bought it 'used', I think it was attributed to Leroy. Not sure if the factory ever did a production run, anyone?
