Actually Hinderer's primary blade is a reverse tanto. The ones above, the old Lucas, and the Tilt are Wharncliffes... Mr. Expert sir, not reverse tantos.

You'll have to ask an expert on that. I thought Hinderer's grind was pretty unique, and Wharncliffes have been around for a long time.

Spanto was what I was trying to think of as Hinderer's primary shape. The new ones they seem to be calling Wharncliffes. Anyway, a very nice shape even if they do look a little like a utility knife. Well, they *are* utility knives, come to think of it... just not cheap ones.

Reverse tanto can have a belly or curve to the edge. AKA, modified wharncliffe.

Normally they don't mind it when you stop them to buy something. I would say that If you don't know your local dealer you may be able to call corporate for his/her phone number. My local Snappy dealer is carrying the CKRT's & still has some Kershaws left. I was able to get him on the ZT wagon. He bought a ZT for his son who is going into basic training with the Army. I Just hope Snap-on starts to carry Kershaws again.
