Is this your Norton Fes?

Kris,.

Me and a friend bought it....He rides it at the classic bike meet (Manfield etc) as he is a far better rider than i will ever be, and i have the dubious priveledge of throwing good money at it, and being abused as the slowest pit crew on earth....Mk 2 850 with Ducati suspenders and brakes....Hybrid mongrel that scares me...................FES

I wasn't planning on getting an Abilene, but the copperhead bone spoke to me. I'm in love with this knife. For so much steel, it is very light in the pocket and feels good in hand as well. Apologies for the crappy phone pic, was taking a quick shot camping down at FDR state park.

Sounds like a blast! :D
I love the photo of your moose sitting on it; pure class.

Have a great Sunday everyone :)

Jack

Thank You Jack!

I'll continue on the workingknife theme in Rosewood & Brass:

This is a stainless Puttyknife from Jernbolaget, Eskilstuna, Sweden.
The sheath is covered with work of a Seaman.
Maybe it was used by a Sailor.
I found it in the local Antique store, for $20.

The sheath was sliced on the left side and I repaired it with waxed thread.
The worn-out leather belt loop had been replaced by a synthetic cord.
Instead I replaced the cord with a loop in leather.

I think it might be useful onboard my small daysailing boat.

Mikael

That looks like it might be a great boat knife Mikael, nice work :)

That's a great knot worked sheath Mikael. Thought I'd keep the sailing gear going. Here is the bench knife i was given when I started my apprenticeship in old time sailmaking. The ditty bag I made at the end of my first year of slavery :D

Have a Great Sunday folks.

Very best regards

Robin
