Took these two shots of the Case Peanut and Böker Tree Brand Stockman this afternoon. I haven't used this Stockman in over 20 years (and the neglect shows in the rust on the blade), but I am enjoying the versatility of the three blades, and look forward to nursing it back to health.

Two last shots of my chestnut and my son's yellow peanut, before he goes back to college this afternoon with his in his pocket.

Thanks Jake. I fell in love with the ebony, swaybackness, and sheild. I had to save it.
It was scary to say the least, but the main blade was blowing in the breeze, it had so much wobble. I really wanted to carry this one.

So, I put down a nice thick piece of leather under the bolster on the anvil and went to work on the pile side bolster. I used a much smaller hammer than you see, and gave it a succession of small taps.

It tightened it right up, after 20 or so taps, although the small blade it now harder to open. No damage to the bolsters. They really made things right back in the day.

Carried it yesterday. This guy liked my work

P.S. I'm still drooling over that Wards you posted for sale. Congrats Duncan.
