The TRADITIONAL sunday picture show!!!!

Thanks guys!

I have not the light (nor, truth be known, current patience) to produce more images worthy of the Picture Show. But, for the purposes of clarification:
The knife arrived Friday, in a passel of surprises from a friend.

It is 3.5" long (closed) with a full blade...

... is sleekly hafted...

Poking around for more information, I found someone else's images of the exact same knife:

I've seen it described as possibly being from the early 1900s. Sound right?

Regardless, it's a sweet little beauty.

Sarah, thats just gorgeous.....Heres what i carried to dawn service on saturday..Honoring our fallen ANZACS in the two Great Wars..Lest we forget.....................FES

Received this old congress knife a long time ago as part of a junk lot. Finally a few months ago, tightened up the pivots and sharpened it up. It gets very sharp with not much effort. Half stops on all blades.

Four Wharncliffe blades on that one, now. A man after my own heart.

Thanks for the info on your generously-gifted H M Slater Pertinux, it's a lovely knife in superb condition. I'll PM you some info on the company

That time of the week again! We have a 3- day weekend here (called a 'Bank Holiday' in Britain), and typically, it's pouring with rain today. Hope we're going to get some better weather tomorrow - not that I don't have plenty of work to do in the house, that kitchen table is looking kind of untidy again! ;) Have a great Sunday everyone
