The TRADITIONAL sunday picture show!!!!

Thank you for the info, I think it looks quite lovely :) I'd not previously heard of L.F. & C, from what I can find online, they look to be an interesting company. Hope you can find out more info, if nothing turns up here, maybe the New Britain Industrial Museum can help?

Great pics Randy, and I love your cap :)

Thanks Jack. And thanks for the link! I wish my pictures would show how beautiful the wood (rosewood?) is in person.
They are, in fact, a very interesting company, manufacturing all sorts of housewares and nifty products. I like to keep an eye out for any L. F. & C. cutlery products. They are noted for their black "pressed" stag scales. Here is a smaller ( 3") serpentine jack in the pressed stag that I like to carry. You can barely make out the 'universal' etch on the blade.

I have enjoyed reading a little about them, and see that a few trade catalogues are archived. I enjoyed your pics in the Old Knives thread, I hadn't previously noticed the detail of the shield. Would you say it was a Picnic Set or a Campaign Set? A really nice find  Thanks for the look at your Serpentine Jack too, another great piece of history, and a useful knife I am sure

Thanks for the kind comments, Jack. Interesting thought about possibly being a campaign set. I am not really sure. I lean more towards a picnic set or possibly even Boyscout related, but boy would I love it if it were a campaign set! How cool would that be! I have some other LFC's I will try to get pictures of in due time. Thanks again for your interest!

My pleasure Mark, it really is a great piece I think. After seeing the shield, I also wondered if there was a Boy Scout connection. Look forward to seeing more of your LFC's

How you liking that Gunny Sidekick? Funds were too tight for me at the time.......
Hey Rockon,
I'm really enjoying it and it cuts like a razor . Feels good in hand and just a great edc . I want another I like it so much ! Can't swing it right now though either.
No worries though they still have a few left and being a first production I have a hunch theyll be more to come . So you should be able to get your hands on one .
