Is it sharp? Mine remains dull despite my efforts. I don't have this problem with my other Winchesters.
 
Sorry to hear! :( I've have that issue with other knives but my half congress came fairly sharp and so far all I've done is a light strop. Hope you can sort it out... what's a blade if not sharp?

The top is a Sears Craftsman I found while walking the dog, finally got it open after a mineral oil soak, then the bottom one is a Camillus Scout knife my dad had picked up, which I quickly adopted after his passing years ago. Old photos have shown before.

Just out curiosity, I have been thinking of trying to clean up the Sears Craftsman in the above pic, got it open after a mineral oil bath a long time ago, so what is a good way to clean off the crud in the blades? Steel wool? How to do the inside? The springs are decent, so if I get the blades clean, I should be able to sharpen them to be effective.
