Good to see you Andi

Enjoy your Sunday :)

Very nice pics. How old is that Zippo?

Being honest - I have no idea... I´m not a Zippo collector. I got that lighter for roundabout 15.00 € (might be ca. 20.00 US$) at a saleout of a tobaccoshop. It has stamped an "I" and a "08" on the bottom. I believe it´s made of brass, because it´s pretty soft. Maybe someone can tell me, what that mysterious markings mean - you woke my interesst ;) But I think, it´s made in 2008, what would be logical.

This knife reminds me of a New England Whaler

Thanks Gevonovich & Paul, it was great, her mind is not what it use to be but she is doing better. Yesterday was a very special day, when we found out we were going to have a baby she was the first one I wanted to tell, but the early stages of dementia had set in and she didn't know who I was when I called, I am named after her husband and I look like my grandfather and my daughter looks like me so it was a instant bond. My grandmother just stopped working and has moved two hours closer, minutes from my folks now so everyone is about 3.5 hours away from me.

Oh well, I guess he's family after all. Even if he is a bit rough around the edges these days.
