The TRADITIONAL sunday picture show!!!!

Does it get any more traditional on a Sunday afternoon?

Here's something a little different, a crooked knife I made up for a canoe builder friend. File steel blade, Maple handle with tack work, build the traditional way with a dovetailed key and binding.

Happy Sunday all.

I'm glad to still be blowing my diet today after looking at those biscuits! That'll make a country boy hungry everytime! Just cut up some summer sausage with this stockman except I'm carrying it with the #7 carbon Opinel...

GEC #79 Montana Workhorse Whittler w/Calico Bone -- Yes, I know not a whittler in the true sense -- Still a nice knife

Living not far from you, in Ireland, I can relate to the pictures. At times it is difficult to keep the flame going due to the downpours!

this material,

I like this bone a great deal, similar to Appaloosa in some respects. GEC could issue some more patterns with these handles, e.g. a White Owl be killa with it. (er White Owls are by nature killers...:D )

Lots of cold weather pics today so let's warm it up with a pic from my backyard in sunny, 80 degree Scottsdale, AZ. Oh, yeah, that's a nice Case 6207 jack with red bone scales.

You're right Will - the covers of this knife remind me of Appaloosa Bone and the underlying texture of the bone reminds me of Primitive Bone (notice what appears to be some a corrosion of the bone trailing the shield on the mark side sort of like that found on Primitive Bone). I think GEC has offered a couple of their other patterns in this Calico Bone but can't remember which ones.

Nice crooked knife Robin!!

We get our rainy spells also, Jack Black, here in BC's rainforest! I have bar-b-cued in similar conditions.
But today it is 8C (~46F) and sunny.

Ha, ha. You've got to admire the determination, did your words of encouragement earn a burnt sanger...?

I made sure I ate before the rain started ;)

Absolutely! I went out with a Belfast girl a few years ago, and with seeing her, and other Irish friends, I was there a lot. The West Coast is beautiful, but you can see why it's so green! :)

Hope you had a good Sunday Charlie :)

I lucked into a half a dozen nice knives today in cool, wet, Seattle. I thought you night enjoy this Queen Stockman with nice winterbottom bone scales. (Obviously the focus is on the flower...)

The first day in two weeks it hasn't rained.

Nice old Queen, eisman!
Are you going to the Oregon knife show in April - or December for that matter!

Still enjoying the day, Jack - but it is fading soon!
