Its a 5-4 Small Camp and Trail. Its O-1 and feels great in hand, I do wish it had the pocket for the hone to me that is sort of a hallmark for Randall.
Robin, very fitting blade shape for a doctors knife in my opinion. Needs a little hole by the tip to hold some thread and the sheath you made looks most excellent :thumbup:
Stayed over at my parents last night so we could celebrate Mothers Day today.
I thought if take the chance to snap a picture of my Dad's 1950 John Blyde, Sheffield made clasp knife.
He picked it up in about '63/64, towards the end of his time being a scout and before joining the Sea Cadets. He was unable to pick up a scaleless navy version at the time....which I think still annoys him
It had a lot of use but he's done a good job of sharpening it over the years, especially given some of the examples you see.
I don´t know if I´ve already shown off the Ludwig Groten, Solingen knife. It has ebony covers and the whole patters seems to be a Copperhead to me... but I could also be pretty wrong
