The TRADITIONAL sunday picture show!!!!

Stayed over at my parents last night so we could celebrate Mothers Day today.

I thought if take the chance to snap a picture of my Dad's 1950 John Blyde, Sheffield made clasp knife.

He picked it up in about '63/64, towards the end of his time being a scout and before joining the Sea Cadets. He was unable to pick up a scaleless navy version at the time....which I think still annoys him :)

It had a lot of use but he's done a good job of sharpening it over the years, especially given some of the examples you see.

Have a good Sunday folks.

Have a nice sunday, fellows

I don´t know if I´ve already shown off the Ludwig Groten, Solingen knife. It has ebony covers and the whole patters seems to be a Copperhead to me... but I could also be pretty wrong

It looks quite similar to Case's take on the copperhead with a longer handle.

That Queen whittler is quite a looker.

Qui a coupé le fromage?

My only second language is Latin (so practical!), so I had to look that up. The first Google hit was for a YouTube video entitled, "Frenching with Freakazoid"-- which is so much more amusing than the phrase's actual translation. :p

-- You're going to love your incoming Pemberton. I love the weight distribution of mine, and, well... just look at it! :)

I love visiting this thread; thanks again for all the great pictures, everyone. Caine, yours made me do a double-take-- it shows off that new F&F to great advantage.

^^^^ Nice Jackknife, I like its patina, also that Timex Weekender is right up my alley, very cool watch.

Here's what I'm fascinated with at the moment, it's a CV Yellow Delrin Peanut that a ton of us seem to own here.

Glenn's rehandle prettied up this Camillus, but it is after all, an old working knife, so I asked him to leave the blades as they were, scratches and all. It is sharpens up nicely and is a fantastic cutting tool. At just 3.375" closed and 0.4375" wide, it rides comfortably in the pocket of any pair of pants I wear.

Thanks for the advice, Ed :) The shown knife is a pattern which was made by Ludwig Groten, but the knife itself seems to be made by Friedrich Hartkopf, Solingen. Unfortunatelly the blade is heavily non-centered. I wanna keep this for my collection with the factory edge on it.

Andi - That Copperhead is lovely. Something about this patterns bolster is so pleasing to the eye for me.

Clutch - Nice! Hope it you had a good run out.
