The Traveling Spyderco Delica. . .

Tragic to hear about Bluey and Mr. Brownstone. Loved reading this thread though after the GBU one.

But this thread is alive because of them starting the journey.

Now it's Cam's turn with new host and places to visit.

Which means i'll continue to have quality material of the little Delcia that could to read about!

Great thread.

I would love to take part in this as I will be travelling on business from Toronto to Winnipeg (blech!) and Calgary often, but our Canadian border patrol has decided to confiscate any folder that can be opened with one hand as of late. Not worth having poor Cam living the rest of its life with a light fingered border guard.

Hey SharpieB, do you think there would be enough interest to start another "Travelling Spyderco" thread for us folks up North? Might be a nice chance to showcase the beauty of this great Country! I've got a little stainless Dragonfly I'd be happy to donate to the cause.

Just an idea I had floating around in my head. If not, that's cool too. Plenty of enjoyment just in this thread! Let me know what y'all think!

I agree. Would be fun!

Original post updated with current mileage info.

ahoward2k--great pics--looking forward to some more.

All: there are a few people in line to host Cam next, but I am taking "reservations" for the next few. If you are interested in hosting please send me an email to mostmenareruthless AT gmail.com along with your full name and BF name.

The thread is ALIVE and WELL!

Update:

DevDev98 made good and shipped Bluey back to me and I now have him in my possession. I am in contact with the owner to make a plan for Bluey’s next move.

In addition, there were several kind members who put their money together to purchase a replacement Delica for the stolen Mr. Brownstone. I am happy to report that I received the new Delica yesterday and am very, very grateful for the generosity of those members as well as the community at large.

I’m new here, but most of the folks on BF are great people. Great community.

Sorry I've been off for a few days. So I went to work Tuesday evening, and put cam and my Endura on the nightstand, no knives allowed at work. I came home and my Endura was lying in the bed and cam was gone. I asked my wife of she had snagged him, she said no, and we quickly deducted today our 2 year old was playing in our room again. 1, thank God for good blade retention, and 2, we tore the house up looking for poor cam. I had just about given up and Friday at work I decided that I was going to order a replacement when I got home. Right before I got off work I got a text from my wife. Cam was hiding in a chair that we never use and usually winds up collecting junk. Now we just have to find the brand new game that he figured out how to eject from the PlayStation Thursday while i was at work. I need to start locking stuff up around that little klepto

And we are shipping cam out as soon as we get the new address, and I touch up the edge with the leather belt.

Sorry for the delay, but yes, CAM did arrive safe and sound here in Bismarck, ND!

Here are a couple of shots so far...

CAM checking out the small Glacier on the deck, even after it's been warmer the last few days...

And finally, a glamour shot of CAM that my daughters came up with!

I'll get some more together today and tomorrow, and then get CAM boxed up and headed out to his next stop. Thanks again for letting me be part of this fun journey!!
