The Traveling Spyderco Delica. . .

Great thread.

I would love to take part in this as I will be travelling on business from Toronto to Winnipeg (blech!) and Calgary often, but our Canadian border patrol has decided to confiscate any folder that can be opened with one hand as of late. Not worth having poor Cam living the rest of its life with a light fingered border guard.

Looks like we're in the same boat! I'd love to have Cam come visit for a while, but nervous about the sketchy border. They've already taken a Mili from me. :(
At least our fellow blade brothers on here are doing a dang fine job! So much interesting stuff in this thread!

Exactly! I do have a place 3 miles from Watertown, NY though.... ;)

That would be up to MMR.
I have sent some knives up north and all have made it.
The pivot was tighten up to the point where you need two hands to open it.
Might be a solution.. tighten pivot.

But it's MMRs call.

I wouldn’t chance it. The new regulations came in this month. Already had one knife confiscated this week. Luckily it was a cheapie!

Has anyone heard back from the person who had the original knife from the first post? They have been posting here on BF recently. I am still curious about what happened with that knife.

Cam has been gifted a cool looking
fob for traveling.
Cool.

Those diamond knots are tough to get that tight to the Celtic bead, and when I was starting to make it, I had black paracord and then I stopped...and said hey, this is a Camo knife, deserves camo paracord ;)

The edge on there was done by a previous person, I only touched up with an ultrafine spyderco triangle rod and then stropped on some leather. Nice size knife, be sure to take her around town and show her a good time :)

I will have to throw it on the K02 before before I ship it off. I did like the patina that vg10 gets

I read that the new regulation explicitly state about pivot tightening is a known but invalid workaround. I bet it will be adjusted by the officers to test.
