The thing is, that any one knife can be a lemon.

NL2 & GB Mini at test. If the ax is small and the knife is big, the knife is faster...

It's the original factory edge, just honed and stropped. That knife was bought new in 2007 and has seen a lot of hard use. What kind of edge did you put on your Fallkniven? It looks like you made the edge angle much more acute than stock.

It still has the original edge.

I’ve seen videos of them peeling apart, but never broken like that. As someone who’s beat the crap out of a couple F1s, I’m curious, I’d like to see a pic. Also a bent tip that he accidentally broken off trying to straighten it.

I’m sure they can be broken, but unless you got a lemon, I think you’d have to be doing something far beyond what they’re designed for.Fällkniven knives aren't indestructible and it has happened that a few of them has been broken.

Actually similar to DBK youtube video where they break the tip off on purpose, just he broke off less than they did lolI’ve seen videos of them peeling apart, but never broken like that. As someone who’s beat the crap out of a couple F1s, I’m curious, I’d like to see a pic.
Dutch Bushcrafters right? I think I’ve seen that video. I’m gonna have to rewatch it.Actually similar to DBK youtube video where they break the tip off on purpose, just he broke off less than they did lol
Yep, they made response video to someone and tortured the F1 on purpose, it took quite an abuse, only the tip broke tho. But rest of the knife held up well.Dutch Bushcrafters right? I think I’ve seen that video. I’m gonna have to rewatch it.

The guy I know has chipped his on first use, and many people here said that fallkies often chip on first use and it takes them few sharpenings to get to the better steel underneath. And about the broken tip, IDK, he was swinging it on piece of wood, he's a gamer who usually never uses his knives, he had several Moras and few Fallknivens and decided to use some of them one day. His technique probably sucked in all honesty, but still at the price range, he was disappointed.
"The truth about..." is a load of crap. You got a lemon, it can happen. You have been made whole. End of story. Can these expensive knives attract some people who understand the added value of Swedish engineering plus Japanese craftmanship,.... maybe. The price is very high (in my book), too high actually, but a Volcano is still on the radar. Because it's so sexy !
