It almost seems like some posts are off topic relating to your favorite knife movie or just naming movies with knives in them...

My favorite is Highlander...
These are right behind:
The Last of the Mohicans
First Blood
The Edge

This is as close to my list as so far I have read, but not having finished ALL the posts - no one mentioned THE first real blade [ sword ] movie of all times "The Seven Samurai" by Kirasawa ??.And of course the bazy crastard mel gibson in "The Patriot" that scene with him & his hawk & blade - whew.

There are few scenes in movies that shows food knifeusing without fight senes. dont reflect reality good.

Bosse

V for Vendetta had some pretty good knife scenes in it and was a good movie overall as well...

The Magnificent Seven with James Coburn. He uses a switchblade in a pistol duel for cash which he never collects. Anyone care to guess what knife he uses?

My other vote goes for Jeremiah Johnson. That big bowie is sweet! Supposedly a Western Bowie.

I have to agree as far as the rambo movies. In part two he even refers to his knife as a good luck charm. Not to mention that I think the rambo series had a big part in spawning my love of knives.

Definetly the First Blood/Rambo series. You expected a knife in each one.

Shogun Asassin best sword movie IMO

Gangs of New York is the best knife movie IMO

Predator is awesome too but I don't remember a lot of knives being used in it. Atleast as not as much as Gangs of New York.

First Blood and Rambo II. The only movies (i´ve seen) where a knife has a lead role and keeps the plot to go forward. The knife is not just an item/weapon/prop that is used for a special scene, it´s as important as the main character. Rambo without his knife would be like Laurel without Hardy, Indy without a whip and Ben without Jerry. Am I right or am I right :-)

Monthy Python and the Meaning of Life. The scene where they collect a guy's liver.

I haven't read all posts so perhaps someone already mentioned the obvious movies:

TARZAN

A guy running around in the jungle with a knife. Predates Rambo.

:D
