I got the beveling set up ready but the carbide isn't really working right. I ordered different carbide and we'll put this in production soon.

The next step is the final trim out fixturing and programs. I leave a chunk of metal behind the primary grind to have a little more meat too hold onto for the beveling, and that little chunk of metal needs to get cut off and some chamfers.

You’ll probably have a week. I’m sure Nathan will tell everyone they don’t need these and it’s a bad idea.

For what it's worth. There are 300 SDFK in process, 100 of which will be signature series. I don't expect there to be a lot of interest.

I would very much like to get one - but if there is an instance of me getting lucky and you missing out, I'll happily pass mine on to you. I have a HDFK already and I am kind of counting on the SDFK being a different enough knife to warrant wanting one to check out but I don't mind spreading the love if it comes down to it.

Within limits, of course.
