The (un)Official SDFK Thread

Well, yes. That's true.

People wanted a signature series and one of our signature characteristics are weight reduction through skeletonization. Even leaving it solid at the very butt, This window cut in the tang changes the dynamic of the knife where it no longer balances on the first finger but an eighth of an inch ahead which will make it tip heavy and unstable during changes in grip and use. I have to do something to take the weight out of the end or it won't handle right. So yeah, it may not play as well with a baton but, without a fuller, I feel that it needs something to remove the weight from the tip to get this back in balance.
Hey Nathan, looks like no forward or hidden lanyard on these for the standard or signature? Thanks

Please offer orange covers in Delrin, osage, or micarta or anything super bright orange.

I was also going to ask for a compass in the handle and saw teeth, but felt it best to stop at orange.
Can we get a saw back and make sure the last of the teeth can double as a bottle opener? Is it too late to req a hollow handle with a compass?

A hollow handle with a CO2 cartridge inside that, when you tighten the compass real tight it bursts it and shoots a high pressure steam of CO2 gas down a blood groove and into your target so you can stab something and make it explode.

And a laser sight to help you align your stab.

And one of those cool abrasive wires with a loop on either end that you can use in case you need to cut something

So, this Friday, Aug. 5; or no?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Yeah, sorry. I thought sheaths would be the bottleneck but it ended up being heat treat.

And we still have finished grinding, straightening, tumbling, sharpening, assembly etc... I would love to drop 40 all at once but it's not going to happen

Will you have options like taco sheaths or just the standard pancake?
