We throw out ideas here, the mods and dealers work things out behind the scenes. If or when something is worked out mods will let us know.

This may have some merit, though I may show up in nothing BUT my boots and hat. Such a sight would break any man,so should only be considered as an extreme measure. Y'all see me duck around the corner and suddenly hear me whistling Dixie be prepared to look away!

That seems rather vague... I'm not complaining at all, mind you. I'm just tickled that anyone would be willing to take it on. I guess if April gets here, and we haven't heard anything, we aren't getting one? This is the first time I will have been involved in the process, so please forgive my ignorance. I simply don't know how the process has worked in the past...
I'll sit down and shut up now... :)

edit:.... a topless protest? The world is not ready for that....

Going off prior years this feels very early. It's only February... If things are ironed out by October I will be happy. With all things like this, nothing is set in stone. I'm just speculating based off prior years. There a lot of people involved and I'm not one of them. Try to enjoy the process!... it usually takes awhile. I'm hoping KSF will be involved this year. If KSF takes on the task it will give the folks that have been involved the past several years a much deserved break. Well, plus I like KSF, GEC, and this place, so it would be a triple win for me. Either way, it usually is a fun process - for me at least :)

The 2019 time line was the original polling announcement thread started on 2/24 and the ordering thread started on 3/17, so we’re now into the right time ballpark to see this years process start up.

It’d be good if the beleaguered guys who run this show could get the 2020 forum knife wrapped up and ordered early like last year, but also delivered earlier this year. If they could, they might be able to carve themselves out a longer break between delivery time and the start of the next years process. I think that’d be an earned and well-deserved break for them.

A query has been posed to GEC asking what they might be willing to offer us this year.
They know our budget requirements from previous years. They also know we we would like something a bit different from everyone else. We have not heard back from them yet.

If there is an option from Buck, it will be a fixed blade.

I'm taking a step forward to help w/ this.

Also, i'm definitely in if we can get GEC AND KSF to agree to a Northwoods style BF knife (arrowhead shield etc etc).

If anyone needs a number cruncher or help organizing, I'm down to help. I can build an online form to keep track of things and confirm who's in and who's not etc.

Wow, the suggestion of nude protests seems to have had the desired affect, alas, we cannot yet tell which nude protest threat was the catalyst.

ANKIFA strikes again! (Annual Knife Action Front).
