The unofficial, non binding, carries no weight, 2020 forum knife possibility discussion thread

Does anyone have a list or a “family photo” of the past forum knives? I’ve just started tracking with this Forum and don’t know what knives were made in the past.

Don’t want to be suggesting the same knife y’all dreamed up way back in 2014.

And...may the Clemson Tigers win tonight. That’s all.

I’ll be getting a 2020 Forum Knife regardless, but I do think a traditional fixed blade would be pretty cool as we’ve never done a fixed in the past...

Northwoods is trademarked and owned by KSF. I doubt they would just give us the rights for that.

I never thought I would see the day we had a TC forum knife. You never know. Judging from the posts in this thread there doesn't seem to be much interest.

Lol, I did too. What's wrong with us o_O
We are picky knife knuts, nothing wrong with that my friend.

For me it felt like it commercialized the forum knife. I also dont like the new trend of not being given options. I dont feel like we are owed anything but let's face it, GEC is doing as well as they are due in large part to this and other forums doing all its advertising and purchasing. It would be nice if we could go back a fee years and still pick what frame we want. A guy can dream cant he.

Edited to add:

I am in no way being negative. I love and admire my GEC knives and the company. It was just nice when they made a frame for us(#13 congress) because we wanted it. Even getting a few frames to pick from would be a plus. It just feels like we are a burden when we are just given one option or nothing and that sucks.

Agree, the way things are now this thread should start out as:

Do you want wood or bone with your GEC forum knife?

What shield would you like and if you are lucky we will invert it :)

I'd take this any day over all other options within the perceived price range. All the GEC forum knives turned out great and the GEC dealers amazing.
