My assumption is that the nail nick is the configuration. Once we get some kind of confirmation we can nail down the mock ups a little bit. Until then, I do hope they have a pile of NF 86 blades somewhere

I’m in that minority with you, then. I generally prefer nail nicks for some reason.

That ironwood mock looks terrific!! I much prefer that to the bone myself, though both are good suits for the knife.

No way, nail nick only. I think long pull/match strike pull just doesn't look right. Makes the knife look over the top with "stuff." Especially with those bolsters. I like the simple lines on the nail nick.

I wasn't the biggest fan of having both a nail nick and long pull... But I have to say, GEC really pulled it off on the 97. It looks pretty good on a clip point. I'd still prefer one or the other I think though.

If synthetic ... Ivory G10, smooth or sawcut, checkered or whatever
No worries about liner and pin (if used) material that way either
Brass might even look good on Ivory G10

Yeah the vital points are often missed But what about a nice big ugly bail and clunking chain to drag it down as well? Heavy-duty only mind. Can we get skeleton construction and do away with stinking backsprings.
