I was thinking, members here have talked about bone dyed in different colors so I was thinking that maybe we should think outside the box a bit.
How about some bone covers dyed a lovey shade of lime green? Oh, I know, how about fluorescent hunter safety orange? I imagine all of our members who hunt would find that very satisfying. We could do some pink dyed bone and charge an extra dollar for each knife and donate that money to breast cancer awareness.
Just a few ideas. 🤪

I am digging those cocobolo covers. They are just barely edging out the gold glitter covers.
I agree, the cocobolo looks really nice indeed. My 93 in cocobolo is my favorite user. I had a few opportunities to purchase glitter gold TC’s from dealers but they weren’t much my style and I was only going to get one for my girlfriend but she didn’t want it either so I ended up passing on them haha. Now I’d definitely be interested in some silver glitter possibly!
I would be really interested in some dyed bone as well! I don’t own any of those yet. I like the green a lot and think a blue dyed bone would look great as well.

How about working out a knife with Eric Albers????

Hey Dave!! It'd definitely be an honor to do it but I'm just not equipped to do a 500+ run of forum knives at the moment. That's like a whole year's production for me!😲

Plus Charlie's got everything under control with a fantastic GEC knife coming up for this year. The guy's a miracle worker!!

Maybe some time in the future though..

Eric

I love that Oil Sucker Rod Wood, for the name at least. But most of those options look great. The glitter 😍

Little tina rushed up to the group who gathered around the forum. Seeing this little girl had some sort of treasure in her hands, a middle aged man inquired what it could be, “What have you there young lady?” Glancing up with big eyes and such a smile, she revealed an old knife within her tiny fingers. “Hah!”, comes a howl from the man. “Let me see that”, he hollered snatching it from her hands. “What a piece of junk! Covers are barely hanging on and the blade is wobbly”. He said as he tried prying the blade left and right. “Looks like someone tried sharpening it on the street curb”, he mumbled, dropping it back into her hands. “Buy a proper knife he shouted as he strutted away.

Hearing that loud-mouth, a rather elderly man glanced over and could see the tears start to well in this poor girls eyes. “Now, dont dare let that brash man get you down. We are family here and take care of each other”, he said as he limped over leaning heavily on his cane. “Let me take a look for you, i sure can give you some tips”, he stated, holding his slack weathered hand out. “Here you go, mister”, tina whimpered out. Taking the knife in his trained fingers, he examined the knife carefully. “Why, this here is one of the early forum knives.... how did you come by such a knife?” He grunted, not letting her answer, he snorted with single nostril and continued, “youve no right to this knife”, he said with a look of disgust. “Rose!” He hollered across the forum. Right then a little old lady shuffled up beside him. He leaned down towards her a bit and his wife stuck her finger in his lip and withdrew his dip and placed it back in the waiting can of copenhagen. “Whoever it is that you got that knife from is a disgrace to this forum”, he sputtered, with the tobacco saliva glistening on his lip. As it began running down his chin, he used the sleeve of his shirt to smear it- a poor attempt to clean up. With that he handed the knife back and with cane in hand, he stormed off, desperate to find someone to complain to.

Tina was now in tears, she didnt know what was to come next. Hearing all the commotion from the old timer, it drew a crowd closer to her. “Miss, a couple of the men around here just have no couth...”, said a gentleman, shaking his head. Then a woman spoke up looking around, “more than a couple i’d say!” Followed by laughter from all around. “And a couple hags”, shouted an elderly man. This too was welcomed by laugher. “Imma getcha back fer dat”, she playfully retorted. After a couple hoots subsided, the gentleman continued, “you see? We are here to have a good time, have a few laughs. And sure, have a few tears now and again.” “But... but my knife is busted up and im not even suppose to have it... so i was told”, she pleaded holding it out to the gentleman. Once he got the knife in hand, he examined it, “Oh that’s still a solid knife, its got a good snap and its a forum knife to boot!”, he cheerfully exclaimed. “You are here, aren’t you? Well, that in itself makes you deserving of such a fine knife”, he said in a reassuring voice. While looking around, he continued, “now, lets see.... we’ve several people here that are more than willing to get this knife as good as new.” “Ive got some covers available that would be most fitting on that knife”, came a lady’s voice from the crowd. “With covers ready, i can get them pinned and that wobble taken care of in a jiffy”, came a mans voice from the crowd. “Ill do the finishing”, cried someone else. The gentleman went on, “with all these fine people contributing, this will be more forum knife than ever”, proclaimed the gentleman.
