This is a fantastic idea! I don't know what sort of process or quantities would be involved, but I've seen Victorinox do dealer/special order knives so presumably it's not out of the question.

This has the added advantages of being a new style of forum knife, legal virtually everywhere, and presumably a fairly affordable option.

I use my Cadet all the time. I'd love to use a BF Cadet all the time. :)

A bit of an unpopular idea perhaps, but I do wonder if it would at all be possible to reach out to the new S&M folks and see if they would be interested in producing a forum knife. It would give them great exposure and some motivation to bring their "A" game. Worth a thought, perhaps.

Hmmm, what could go wrong??? A possible $30,000-$50,000 order with a company that hasn't even brought a product to market yet!? Wonder who's going to step up to the plate on that deal???

In my mind, it seems a logistical nightmare. Without knowing what sort of dealer network (if any) or how they will distribute their product, it very well may be too early to consider them.

Like I said, probably not a great idea, but it is something I'd love to see considered once it seems the company has their feet under them.
 
Personally I would love a GEC of pretty much every flavor except a liner lock.

They are incredibly difficult to obtain lately, and I have high hopes that a large order from BladeForums would make getting one possible.

But, as mentioned earlier, it’s quite a blessing to even have a the possibility for a forum knife at all, so I’m open to all options.
 
I’d love to see one from GEC. If GEC is even an option, I’m guessing we’re not going to suggest a new pattern. It would probably have to be a pattern they are already planning to make this year.

I also agree some kind of Alox SAK would be cool. Boker is another one I’d be interested in, if possible. I’ve been seeing a lot of nice ones on here lately.

Very much this (or even a 15 Farm Boy since I’ve never been able to obtain one). But the Farm Boy layout with two “main” blades would put a lot of blade into the 14 frame.
