I think a true bunny knife has a curved handle. The closest thing I have is the Parker barlow. Although I gave the bottom one in the above pic away. Though I'm sure Parker didn't market these to Rabbit hunters in Australia and New Zealand they have the right shape and size perhaps.

When I had asked the question as to whether they'd qualify as a bunny knife I believe it was @Campbellclanman who told me any old rabbit hunters he knew would call it that, and thats good enough for me. A clip and lambsfoot combo would be pretty neat, especially if we could talk Bill into the stepped bolsters that TEW has as well ;)
Reading through the bunny knife thread I see several members regarded the Parkers as being very bunny knife like, including @Cambertree

Update: I called GEC today to talk to Bill about a BF knife, but he was very busy with Inventory today, so he asked me to call back in a day or two!
I want to discuss this at just the right time, so we wait a little longer!

On another speculative note, I thought of proposing to all you esteemed ladies and gentlemen the following, inspired by the Antipodean Bunny Knife!!View attachment 1527665 View attachment 1527666 View attachment 1527668
If GEC flipped the handle of the #93 (Lamb/Ram Foot) and added a Muskrat or California Clip, we could call it the "JackRabbit!!
IvoryBone handles would Cap it nicely!! (Wish I knew Photoshop!!:()View attachment 1527680
The Bunnies are 3 1/2" long, and the #93 would become a #39, 3 7/8", a stretch version!! Possibly using existing part designs??
What say you??o_O

You are driving the bus Charlie..... I like your idea..... It should make a wonderful Forum knife!!

Great idea Charlie :) I'd love to see a genuine Bunny Knife, my grandfather's favoured pattern

While this doesn't sound much like a Bunny Knife (more of a slender Hare!), it still sounds like a winner my friend. Do you see it looking something like this?

Edit - Well, you learn something new every day! I had never realised that what you folk on the far side of The Pond call a Jackrabbit, is what we over in the shallow end call a Hare! :D

HARE indeed :) But Hare Knife sounds a bit odd....like depilation ;)

But it could be called Leveret Knife, they being young Hares which unlike Rabbits are born with their fur and eyes open and they run with the mother straightaway.

Leveret is like the French word Lièvre so it could appeal to Charlie's Francophonia  :D

Hares are common here, two types the Brown(Rusakko / Fälthare ) and the Arctic (MetsäJänis/ Skoghare)
the former are very large and get a mottled coat in winter, the Arctic changes to snow white excepting black ear tips & tail area. The Brownhare abounds even in town centres where there are no predators, here's a summer and winter picture of them in a garden in the very centre.

It does sound odd! :D With a California Clip, it'd definitely be a Jackrabbit Slim ;) I don't see hares as often as I'd like, but they're common, and easy to spot on the high moors between Sheffield and Manchester, when they go a bit crazy at this time of year, and even box! :D I believe that area is also the most southerly home of Arctic Hares, which are sometimes known as 'Blue Hares' there

Make it with stag covers, and we could call it a Jackalope. :D

We have a winnner. Sounds good to me Charlie.

I'm in for a Jackrabbit, very useful blade combo, an ergonomic handle and looks great. Would make a great user.
