The Unofficial, Official Blade Show 2018 Thread

Made it to the pit kind of late tonight and I think I missed most of ya. I’ll be knocking out the Georgia knifemakers scavenger hunt first thing wearing a mark of the maker black T don’t hesitate to hit me up as it would be nice to meet a few more of y’all. I’ll have to say the hi-light of my day was getting my picture with the big deal Bmurray Bmurray thanks @VANCE for not letting him slip by me.

It was awesome to meet you. Did Big Deal make you pay or did he give you a freebie?

Blade show was a blast. I’m leaving this evening to head home. A couple really awesome days. My goal was to meet as many people as I could and I do believe I succeeded (and grab a few knives LOL). Thanks to Warrior108 Warrior108 and @Lady1911 for the company all weekend. Good company and great people they are!! Was also great meeting and hanging out with @jaz322 and Bmurray Bmurray R RobbieB @mistwalker too. Great to meet you guys! And of course was very special to meet and hang out with @VANCE @Fiddleback (Andy, Kyle and John) @Fiddleback Outpost (Robert, Allison and Brett) @Cohutta @allen456 @Fletcher Knives @Lee Tigner @Oldetownecutlery (Lee and Melissa) @Osprey Knife & Tool @Diomedes Industries @DirkLootsPhotography @whitty and many more. Great experience.

Agreed, while the knives were awesome, meeting a lot of the people I've only typed to over the past year was the highlight of the show. Not sure how I missed Bmurray Bmurray though.
I heard through the grapevine that you scored an awesome one from Cohutta. We will need pics of it for sure.

Man, how did I miss you Choppaman Choppaman ?! Bummer. Oh well, next year hopefully.

Always a great time sharing stories, too many laughs, and making new friends. Awesome to meet everyone that I had the chance to meet and great to see everyone else again. I'm coming to GA more than once a year starting now.

I hope people will be sharing their Blade Show scores! I got 3 new ones for myself, 4 for friends and family, and sent the word to Phillip on a cool one for @NUTRAMAC

I will definitely try to make Blade Show again next year!

I heard you were there. Not sure how we didn’t run into each other. Yes-Bummer Odaon Odaon next time.

This may be lame but, I couldn't have said it any better!! Except I also got to meet Southern Gent Southern Gent and Odaon Odaon ... had no idea or I would have introduced you guys!

It'll be great to get home and see my girls but I was sad having to part with good friends.

We had a freaking blast this year. I loved meeting each one of you as well. My buddy Troy and his son are already taking about next years plans. They now understand why I say this is the best "club" to be associated with. Each and everyone one of you help make it an honor for me to be a part of. This includes you small knife people, lol.

Let's get the Fiddleback adventure camp setup soon.

Here's my Blade Show haul.

There's one missing from this group because it's with Dylan getting a kydex sheath. My first Fletcher and first Blade Show knife ever. An extra special Pro 6-5, with file work and no guard.

My other knives... A very special Lil Lady, and GiantMouse Knives GMF2. Thanks for showing me the GiantMouse Knives @Kal-El

Knives for my dad and fiancee, respectively. Surls Damascus with walrus and copper, and an LT Knives Frontier First.

Finally, two steller choices by a good friend who is just getting into custom knives. I was proxy shopping for him and I think he chose quite well. ;) Osprey K&T Warthog with tapered Blue Hitachi San Mai and dyed black ash burl, and a high grind Osage Runt. That 'Hog is something special from Chris.

For good measure... These two are going to see @Diomedes Industries for matching sheaths and then I'm getting that Lil Lady's tan matched up to the OS Lady.

Man, that is quite the haul Orion!! I really wanted to make it out this year but couldn’t make it happen. Next year I am going to try and carve out the time early. It is fun to see all the posts and pics!!

Thanks to buying my oldest boy a new/used car I was on a major budget at BLADE this year. Was planning on getting the new Spyderco Rhino folder until I saw & handled this knife from Kyle. Once I found out the Spyderco Rhino was not a limited run that sealed the deal. AEB-L steel, rosewood scales, natural micarta pins, lime green & natural micarta spacers. Don't recall what he calls this model though.
