The upcoming, anticipated, way-too-excited GEC 85's Thread!

That autumn gold on the 2 blade looks light. I was hoping for the darker color. Still, a nice looking knife, and Mike always prices his knives very fairly.

Nice looking knives. Like the upcoming Beagles and many of their other knives with coping blades, the 2-blade is a bit underbladed. There's a large kick and a lot of room in the well so the coping blade could be much more full... maybe just slightly less full than the main blade since it sits a bit lower. Nice knife though. And I like the classic shield.

I'm now in the ownership side of the ledger for my first 85 as I was notified that my "standby" status for the bloodwood was changed to "buy it now or...sorry!"
I didn't really realize how great looking the 85s are until looking through this thread. I must have been sleeping through the reserve process until squeezing in at the last moment on standby. I figured I snoozed so I loosed...I know, not grammatical correct but it rhymes.
Anyway...Gonna have one, will be a lot of fun, and when I'm done, it'll go to my son.

These are looking beautiful; March 7 seems like a long time away! Has anyone received notification for the stags yet?

I was wondering if anyone received their 2 blade smooth autumn gold confirmation yet... edit: I just got mine.

I'm forever holding out hope for a two blade 85 with to secondary being the talon wharnie blade.

Perfect timing on my both of my 2-blades I just paid for....today was a payday Friday :)

LOL

Mine took a little bit to show up

Thanks, it just did...took a bit longer. I'm guessing everyone is paying now and there is a bit of lag time. I've had anxiety about this for 3 months because I initially messed up my reservation. Whew, it's mostly over... Now the short 2 week wait for delivery.

I'm paying now. Quick question- red or brown pocket slip to go with bloodwood?

But brown will cause the scales to "pop" more.

A mod would be easy enough.
Check to see if Glennbad or Bob are too busy.

Edit: those stag scales look Fantastic! Absolutely incredible! That is a knife that will be handed down as a treasure.
