The upcoming, anticipated, way-too-excited GEC 85's Thread!

But brown will cause the scales to "pop" more.

A mod would be easy enough.
Check to see if Glennbad or Bob are too busy.

Edit: those stag scales look Fantastic! Absolutely incredible! That is a knife that will be handed down as a treasure.
Have to see if anyone wants to sell me a 2 blade to modify.... :)

Hoping to get in on a double blade bloodwood. I am in standby as far as I know but no notice yet. I guess it has to run it's course and give everyone ahead of me the option to decline. I hope a few have changed their minds. I have a "guarantee" single scandi grind in jigged bone reserved, I think. Anyone gotten a notice on a single scandi yet?

Thanks all, and take care,
Rick

I haven't received mine yet, I am sure we will see more photos prior to the release of the "Scaber" version (as Mike called it).

Paid for my 2 blade bloodwood this afternoon. Excitement and anticipation are growing!

We need to get back to discussing the knives before there is a full mod smackdown. I'm really impressed by the Scandinavian/saber grind, and hope it becomes a regular GEC offering.

Ain't that the truth. I'm impressed with the "Scaber", too.

Okay I'll say it. I'm not really a huge fan of the match strike nail nic. I absolutely love a match strike long pull, but there is something about the nic that looks (for lack of a better word) overly embellished. I wish they had went with just a standard crescent on the coping.

Too late. 12 posts moved off line.
This is not the place to discuss the buying process. If you are having a purchasing problem with a vendor, you need to contact the vendor, not complain about it here.

This is a knife discussion forum. It is for discussing knives, not their purchase.

I'm not sure how the nail nick is going to work with all the covers but it sure looks good on the bloodwood IMO.

Considering how nice the bloodwood turned out I'm sure I could over look the MS nail nic. They really knocked it out of the park with the blood wood.

Just finished paying for a flat grind single blade in the Antique bone. I was on standby status and so hoping that one would become available.
I am one happy camper:)

Just completed my hat trick of 85s from Mike. Bloodwood single blade and two blade and the yellow jigged bone two blade. Now the impatient waiting begins. Got every one I wanted, but that stag version looks pretty sweet. Did anyone sign up for a stag?

Well crap never got an email.: have a sure for two of them but I have a feeling their all gone by now :( sucks

On 1Blade Flat and 2Blade models, every "Sure" with an "OK" status has been sent an invitation.
Scabre models do not have a confirmed count yet; expecting this Tuesday.
Haven't even decided how to do the stag yet.

Trying to get 30-50 reservers coordinated and responsive to 12 different models is like herding a flea circus.

Hope at least one of my standbys makes it through the cracks to me. Beautiful knives Mike.....another home run.
