Joshua J, I was going to mention that I buy my knives at the end of the month when I get paid. I allot X amount of dollars for knives and do my buying then, and that is why I am still waiting on my Volt's.
Lots of good talk guy's, keep it up!
Anyone got pics to post of the lockup? Would like to see some!
Can't remember if I said this earlier, but when the Volt was first intro'ed I was excited. Then my intrest begin to wane a bit and when I found out it was going to be a lighter weight knife than I usually like I was prepared to pass on it. Let me explain what I just said. I am used to folders that weigh in at 6.5 ounces or heavier, the two I am rotating now weigh 7.7 ounces and 10.3 ounces, so I was hoping for a heavier knife. But then I begin to see pics and found out it was built with fairly thick components; .157" thick blade and handles, with a weight closer to 5+ ounces, and my desire shot right back to the top!! And let's face it, it is a damned beautiful design, and Kershaw simply builds an almost flawless knife of custom quality. So I now have 2 that will be coming, a blem to use and a non-blem to put up, or maybe give to my son.
I know my desire for think heavy knives is an anal thing, but that is what appeals to me and it is my money so I buy what I like.
