The VOLT

All I've got to say is be careful not to snag your clip on anything. :( A sad day for my Volt. Everything's going to be okay though. I've been assured. :D

Hi Tony -

Bummer!

Is titanium that brittle?

I wondered about that smallish clip on a relatively large knife.

What did you catch it on?

I notice that I occasionally catch the clip of my Acies on the edge of my desk at work, but it has not sprung or otherwise bent it in the few months I have been carrying it.

Can you get a replacement from Kershaw?

best regards -

I just got my blem, it is an amazing knife for the money. I actually like the clip, so as long as it doesn't break, this knife gets a huge thumbs up from me!

I just got a blem too....hard for me to find the blem. I Like the clip. Doesnt

dig into my large hand as a couple of others have mentioned.:thumbup:

got mine yesterday. real nice since im a lefty, the pocket clip digs in my hand a bit,but the knife is real nice.the blem is almost impossible to see. a tiny divot in the copper fusion that is just about unnoticable...

Have you guys traveled the edge with a lighted loupe or such ? I have , this is a bitchen ass blade....

By the way, has anyone else noticed the D2 trying to stain a little on the blade? I keep having to give mine a vigorous rub down to remove the spots. I love the two-tone look of the blade but am wondering about the choice of D2 (and I know that only some steels are compatible, so maybe there wasn't another good choice.

I have been carrying this guy almost non-stop since it showed up and I really love it. So many months of anticipation have been totally worth it. Awesome! Btw, I rounded the edges on my pocket clip just slightly to save the palm of my hand. I also had the knife skip out of my pocket once when it caught on my bag. That has happened with other knives as well, but the small clip definitely makes it more of a risk with the Volt.

You guys / gals are killin me!!

At first glance I didn't even give this one a second thought.

But then...............I just had to read more and research more.

I have one of the blems coming.

Damn my wallet is hurting.

Too many fine materials from a fine company at a great price to pass up.

Kicking this thread back to the top - cause I just received my Blem Volt today and I'm glad I didn't miss out.

Other than the seam being a little off between the two blade steels - this one is like new.

Not crazy about the clip - and it really does bite after some cutting - but there's too many good things about this knife to let that really bother me.

Mine was smooth out of the box, flips real easy, and the lock up is strong at around 40%. The lock sticks a little, but having owned many titanium framelocks I know this will break in after a little while. Theres no blade play in any direction.

Superb.

Mine was almost impossible to unlock out of the box, now its not so bad.

I pulled it apart and cleaned it. Lubed it with some miltec (lubed the lock-bar too). Now it is even smoother and unlocks without any sticking. This is probably the best bang for buck blade I've ever seen...

Hi folks -

I got home from an out-of-town trip to find my two Volt blems waiting for me.

The Volt is a spectacular design, albeit the stylish design may not be to all tastes.

The knife is a lot lighter than I expected - it is a bit heavier than my Acies.

I received numbers 138 and 139. 138 has a small concave bubble in the composite braze line on one side, and 139 has a small ding in the blade on one side.

I am keeping 139 and passing 138 on to one of my good friends.

I will post a review and take some pictures at a later time.

Thanks to 2 Brothers for a great deal.

best regards -

I really like the look and feel of my blem volt but the flipper doesnt do it justice. even after a good cleaning and lube it still needs a good bit of wrist action to flick open.

I believe you may have the pivot too tight or something wrong with yours. Mine requires no wrist at all... even before I cleaned it..
