The "Whatever" Thread

46* and raining sideways with a wind from the North -- so much for the last day of rifle season. :(
guess I'll just have to console myself with a trip to the gun show followed by a trip to Cabela's and Granite City Brewery....

I finally got my Nevada hunting and furbearers license and am going to the range on Saturday with a buddy to sight in the rifles. Hopefully I can get out coyote hunting for the first time before the beginning of the year!

Ran a 5K "Christmas Sweater Run" yesterday. Temp was almost 70, definitely too hot for a sweater.

Side note- kyenglish I sent you an email, let me know if you don't get it and I'll resend, been having trouble with emails going thru BF lately.

didn't get it, sorry,

sweater run, it is unseasonable not "terrifyingly cold" around here this year. Good work for getting through it.

BF email failure isn't just you - I was having issues getting an email from a potential buyer so I tried ending one to myself -- it didn't work, either.

I never got my bladeforum emails. I missed selling several items due to that. and the forum was always so slow. that is why I haven't upped my membership lately. the forum speed has increased as of late though.

In the shop with a cup of coffee watching the heat treat furnace count down and listening to the rain on the roof. I don't think it gets any better than this, I'm a lucky man!

Raining again today. It seems slow on the forum, guess everyone is getting ready for Christmas. I'm not working next week, Monday I'm taking Hayley shopping and out to lunch, and Tuesday I'll be taking Hanna for shopping and lunch.

Yeah, Christmas is coming up quick. My kids are chomping at the bit to rip into their presents.
And my wife keeps thinking she needs to buy more stuff!

tell me about it, more packages keep arriving at our house from amazon and my wife looks sheepish everytime I ask if maybe that's the last of them. She's buying enough presents for the next couple of years, that's my hope. ;) I'm havign to avoid all the really good knife sales till i see some of the bills to be safe.

I've been trying to get going on a few different projects of late now the semesters over and I'm unemployed for awhile again :) plus football season, doctors visits and Christmas plans and projects with the kids keep us pretty busy,

Planning on taking Sam to see the new StarWars film on Friday as an end of school prize/surprise, anyone else going?

Believe it or not, my 10 year old isn't that interested in the new Star Wars. I thought he would be all over it, but he says he'll just wait until it comes out on TV.

I believe it as my 12 year old son has no desire to see Star Wars, my 3 year old daughter would probably like it, she just loves Guardians of the Galaxy. We'll probably watch it once it hits DVD.

that's funny. i will go see it, but i'm a bit skeptical. i never go see a move the first weekend that it comes out. i like to wait a few weeks. i can't stand watching movies with a packed theater. i know some like it....adds to the experience or whatever. but, people annoy me. :D

post back here what you think of it though. nice suprise for Sam. sure he'll be psyched.

New Venator design. Just cut the profile last night. Plenty more work to do!

I'm going to be I go see Star Wars next week. I've been a fan since I was a kid and my son loves the original. He's going to have to wait for a couple years to see the new ones. I feel they are going to be a little too intense for what I want him to watch.

I spent the morning with my wife picking out components for our house with our General Contractor. At every point where we had a chance to save money by choosing an option that was cheaper than our quote, she went with the quoted option. And at multiple opportunities she picked an upgraded option. Why the hell do we need oval door knobs? I don't care if they are more ergonomic. How much time do we spend turning door knobs every day!?!

We shopped much more online this year. With so many companies offering free shipping and discounts for new customers it made things easier not to mention no crazy traffic or crowds. Poor UPS driver has been to the door several times but never before 7:30.
