John, silly question but I am curious, how did you wind up choosing 01 for your main steel? Trial and error or did you like this attributes and also figure out a great heat treat? I figure cost had to be a part of the calculation, and having an edge where you can easily sharpen in the field too. Thanks for your input.
I am also coming to the conclusion that that despite all the many knives I have, I really just need to use some of the practical and smaller size pocket fixies, I really need to locate my above JKs in my boxes and just start having fun and using them for everyday tasks. I think it’s great that @Simplejack tries to use his JKs in his daily rotation.
