my girlfriend is pretty stoked about getting an izula as a present. she actually told me I was sweet for getting her one, and preferred one that wasn't tactical pink. she also begged me off selling a few of my favorite knives even though times are tough, so I reckon I'm gonna marry her in a few more months. who else has been blessed enough to get an SO who either supports or engages in your sharp things hobby?

My Cynthia's not a true knife knut (yet), but she does like them and is looking forward to her pink Izula. She's got a Himalayan Imports Kumar Karda which she likes a lot, and loves the old Plumb Scout hatchet I cleaned up and painted pink for her. She also allows me to keep my corn snake in the house, which a lot of girls wouldn't tolerate.

I got one that allows me to collect and use knives on minutely schedule. But no matter how hard I try I cannot get her to carry one of her own. Which is for the best since she has no idea how to use a knife. No matter how hard I try she still has not learned how to use a knife. So I married her about seven years ago. :D

well, just got back from blade and was able to purchase my wife one of the pink izula's she loved it and when i got back home and give it to her, she took it out on the back porch and went through everything that came with it and put it together.

she was excited about and understands the importance of having a knife when she rides her horse.

so yes i am very lucky and fortunate to have a wife that does like knives to a degree and has no problem with me collecting.

and thanks to the rat guys for helping, they done some awesome giveaways and even had one of the young men there at the booth to wrap my wifes izula for her.

so yes i will be purchasing more rats to go with my #6, it is awesome!!!

My girlfriend loves to play with my knives and look at them, but when I got one for her she maybe used it a couple times and now it is gradually gathering dust somewhere in a closet...so i think Ill stick to flowers and chocolate

Mrs. KintlaLake has more training in weapons and tactics than I do. :o

Let's just say that I don't have to convince her that it's ok to carry a knife. :D

Five-ten, slender, pretty and armed. Somebody pinch me...

I gave my female a gerber folder once to keep in her purse for defense. She doesnt keep it on her and I found her cleaning the grout lines in the kitchen with it. Ahhh well, at least it is getting used for something.

The Mrs. never really cared much until recently.

Now she's on this board almost as I am and owns 2 RAT's and is looking for her third.

Life is good.

My lady isn't a true knife knut yet, but she's got Spydercos, Benchmades, Bucks, Condors, and Cases so far...and she specifically asked for a pink Izula after I got mine! (I was already planning on getting one for her well before that, of course! :D) She doesn't know it yet, but I'm giving it to her when we get down to camp on Friday. ;)

ETA: Forgot about her SOG Seal Pup! :D

Got the Pink one coming for the wife. She has been hounding me for a good knife for her purse so what better excuse is that.

there are a few out there. I fully expect to loose ownership of my incoming izula 5 minutes after my lady sees it. since it'll be another two months till I see her, I'll at least get to play with it a bit. life can be hard sometimes..... I think I'll manage though :D

done. i caught you mishandling that izula. i've taken it into protective custody. :D

That's funny stuff.

As I've gotten into acquiring sharp stuff over the last year+, my wife will every so often say, "when do I get mine?". Well I just ordered her a pink Izula (and a black one for myself). Hopefully she was serious:D

This begs a W&C post about the awful lack of women who appreciate knives.

On a lighter note, the best of luck to ya! :) Just remember Charlie Mike's lesson. ;)

After a frustrating time trying to cut meat and vegetables for a barbecue(usually my job) my wife wanted to use one of my "black knives" as she calls them. I gave her an RC-6 for the slicing. She was actually giggling as she cut up everything. She could not believe how sharp the 6 is. I mentioned the forthcoming RAT Chopper and now she wants one.

My girlfriend just got her 1st machete! She's so happy and can't wait to put it to use.
Good night all.

I think my girlfriend is warming up to them

Shes still not that into knives and guns, but she keeps asking me when I'm going to take her shooting, and just the otherday she looked at my knife case and said "Why do you have so many of those spyderco knives?" I didnt even know she knew what spyderco was! Let alone identify them, and she was too far away to see "spyderco" on the handles or blades.

She did say not too long ago that I could buy her an engagement ring really soon If I sold some of my knives... the look I gave her made her recant. She'll get into it one day
