The Wonderous Whittler

This came the other day, Winchester Black Box. When the blades are shut it has a nice slim presence, the blade selection is just right and overall just a very appealing 3 blade pocket-knife. I rest my case.

That's a beauty, I'm a sucker for a swell center whittler ;) I like the small clip secondary too, in case I don't have a peanut in my pocket.

This one recently came into the rotation :)

Many cool knives lately.

Paul, another two coolest knives.
Vapostang great photo these two really looks great
Will this swell center is a wining pattern, I like this one a lot
North Shore great find, I know what you should do with that old repair. Send it to me :) Seriously I'd do nothing, just enjoy the knife.

I appologize for not mentioning everyone, I enjoy them all

Here is a craftsman carpenter whittler with bone scales, probably by Camillus based on 72 model

Mike Exceptional colour and shine on the bone of that Whittler. Wish we all aged as well..:D:eek: Great even patina too:thumbup:

Thanks for the appreciation for the Swell Centre. The Black Box knives are really impressing me, well worth looking into.

Thanks Will, indeed the black box series is exceptional, I have handled quiet few of them, not whittler though. It is very similar to Case balloon whittler and I wonder if they manufacture it.

I believe all black box Winchesters were made by Queen.

That is really a very nice looking Wharncliffe Whittler and I would really like to see more pictures of it . Especially to see how it is constructed .

Well, I have to hand it to Roy Humenick. He has developed a nice group of Whittlers, through GEC's releases!
So far he's done a #38, a #98 and now a #13! I wonder what the future will bring?

Same great workmanship - they are probably the most difficult of knives to build correctly.

A smashing example of a 72, Mike! You just don't find them with quality bone all that often...and that bone:eek:

Always a treat to see those lovelies !!! Thanks for the look

This is my nicest and oldest whittler. A 7-dot Case 6383 with coping blade conversion:

Now that is one heck of a beauty indeed

Thanks for your kind comments.
This page has great knives, GEC 38 and 57 that I can't put a hand on. The Winchester and case are classics. The Solingen stag LB whittler is very interesting being a a shadow, and the Case Bose LB whittler is still on my list.
Here's Fightin Rooster LB Whittler it was pure luck getting this one (I might have post it already...)
