I'm with Kevin on this one. I also paid her in April, with an outrageous amount for shipping (and I know because I shipped over the big pond many a time), mailed her twice in the meantime and still haven't heard from her or a book on my doorstep. Very bad communication and service!!

Good Morning Gentlemen
I have paid on the 6th of April via paypal for the book and outrageous shipping fees. I have send several emails to Missy Beyer and I had two phone coversations. Still no book - no confirmation it is on the way - no tracking number - no expected time of arrival.
I have several emails with David Darom which is a very very nice gentleman and he is more willing to help. He always responded to my emails immediately. But this lousy customer service from Missy Beyer is destroying the excellent reputation of a great guy - a brillaint author and a fantastic photographer.
May be there is a guy on your side of the pond who is able to get Missy Beyer going. I am honest I am frustrated and angry. Never had a problem to get a one of David`s books from the US. But this customer service is unacceptable

I'm very please to say I received my book today. Have only had time to thumb through it briefly, but enough to realize it's another outstanding Darom Book.
I'm very much looking forward to spending some time with it.
 
Got my copy yesterday.

Paper stock weight and finish is great, photos look tremendous, still absorbing it all.

Will post my thoughts in a short bit.

I received my book yesterday and am really pleased with it, as I am with all of Mr. Darom's books. I have been collecting knives for about 15 years now and the Darom books are the best there are. I have looked at the section on the set of 20 Loveless knives over and over and am so glad he spent so much time on these. There is also a rare 6 piece Loveless Johnson kitchen set pictured in the book as well. I haven't read everything in the book but so far I really enjoy it.

I'm happy for the guys who received the book, but me....I'm still waiting for my copy with suboptimal communication as well.

I hate to drag this up but another month has passed and no book. According to Missy (on May 12) my book shipped about 6 weeks ago and given the amount of shipping ($65) the book should have been here weeks ago. She also never provided me with a tracking number (although she promised). So for now I'm out of $165 and no book. Missy's conduct is really below par and to be honest I'm counting on being out of this book and my money definitely.:grumpy::mad:

David, I'm wondering what you think of this situation!

Marcel my friend, and all you others who have felt Missy's difficulty
in communicating with you - it is the same here, with me...

I have no way of contacting her and receive a response, apart from
maybe if I decide to travel 6000 miles and knock on her door.

Something is very wrong there, baring the wildest speculations, one
thing sheds a ray of hope - SHIPMENTS ARE ARRIVING, sometimes
after many weeks of total frustration, but they are arriving all over
the world...

I am helpless, frustrated and very sad about all this.

I put in thousands oh hours of very professional work into this volume
and to see what is happening with the simple act of shipping it keeps
me awake at night.

When the books finally arrive, I am sure that you will not be disappointed
and will instantly change from hate and frustration to love and happiness....

David, thank you for your honest response. I'm sure this book is all it promises to be. All I can do now is just wait and hope for the best.

Have you tried texting her? That is the only way I ever got any response and finally got my book. E-mails did not get a response.

BTW, the book itself is very nice. For any custom knife collector who is willing to brave the efforts to get a copy, I recommend it.

I was able to contact Missy via text message and she sent me a book and it arrived yesterday...finally. In the end it was worth the wait because it looks as classy as all of David's other books.

Marcel, getting a copy seems to have been quite an adventure.
I'm glad it ended well!

I do try to make every new volume a little different and a little better,
what do you think?

I need feedback (hopefully positive...) to get new ideas and further
improve my next book, #11...

Unfortunately, i paid Missy back in May along with outrageous shipping costs but still have not recieved my copy. I have repeatedly emailed her but have not recieved any reply at all. Very pissed off to say the least....

You really need to text her (number is above). That was the only way she responded to me. The way she acts is a crying shame and damaging to the reputation of everyone involved.
