I ordered a griptilian five days ago from this place and they still haven't given me a ups tracking number. I sent an email asking how long I should wait for processing and they replied:

Hello,
Your order has been processed for shipment already. You should be
receiving it in the next 2-3 days. If you have any other questions please
contact us toll free at 877-291-1328.

Thank you,

Magically, the status page changed from "new order" to "in progress" the same day that this email was sent. I'm not sure if it was a coincidence, but this doesn't look good. I've always gotten tracking info when ordering stuff online, why should this be an exception?

???? This was 3 days ago and I still don't have a number. I'm not super worried, but I read somewhere that this place might not have the best rep.

Any thought?:(

They sent my order by US postal so there was no tracking order might want to check and see how they sent yours.
They have had a bad rep in the past.I ordered from them recently without knowing this I had some minor problems and they eventually had to refund me for some of my items because they were on back order for over a month but I was always able to contact someone that was very helpful.

In another thread someone mentioned bladeshop as a place to get a Sharpmaker at a good price. The first actual knife that is listed in the home page is a benchmade for $2500 (Link)

They have a terrible reputation...use "search this forum" for bladeshop (one word) to several threads........

So what exactly does that have to do with their reputation?

It just seems like a bit of a paradox to me. If you look at how their homepage is set up, they talk about "being committed to bringing you the lowest price possible on top quality brands". One of their examples of a top quality brand is Gerber. Now, I'm not saying that Gerber makes junk, not by any means, but "top quality" is not something I would use to describe them. It seems hinky that a store that is focused on bringing low prices has the first knife listed as $2500. The lowest priced knife on their home page is $230. I understand that I have a much lower knife budget then most of you, but this still seems a bit strange to me. Just my opinion on some inconsistencies I saw.

I actually ordered something back in april and received my knife with no delay or complication...

Thanks for the responses. I guess I'll give them a call on Monday after they open up (not open on weekends).

I wouldn't order squat from after the things I have read. They appear to be an outfit that hardly stocks anything. Most of what you get from them is drop shipped from distributors. When there are plenty of top quality dealers that carry large inventories, and that can ship most things in a day, why deal with company that sometimes takes well over a month to get you your stuff. Makes no sense to me.

I ordered a big order thru them recently, and after reading thru the posts in this forum, I promptly canceled my order.

Keith Montgomery is right. There are plenty of quality dealers that are a pleasure to deal with.

If I can't get a tracking number on Monday I'm simply going to order from a reputable company and cancel this one.

I don't want to bad mouth any body, all I would say is I deal with them before and I would not buy from them again.

UPDATE:

They just shipped it out using priority mail. The lady on the phone said I should be getting it tomorrow, which is July 3rd. Apparently Bill lied.

If I do get it tomorrow, I will be grateful that I didn't get completely screwed over.

That kind of vague innuendo is not helpful to anybody. Post the facts and then people can decide for themselves whether they want to buy from them.

 I've ordered from them. I don't know if they are disorganized or what but you do get what you ordered. They will charge your card the minute the order is placed (I think that is stated on the site) and unless everything is in stock (no indication on the stock status on the website) they will hold until everything is put aside THEN ship. Shipping takes 10 business days (they state that on the site). Calling gets different answers from different people so take everything they say with a grain of salt. All and all they deliver and they have good prices BUT the confusion, aggravation and waiting make the 5, 10 or twenty bucks you save not worth it.

usps has tracking, you just have to use priority or express i believe.

i ship everything priority and always have a number assigned.

Just went and ordered a Sharpmaker without asking on here first...Never doing that again, just crossing my fingers it all works out okay.
