5 pages discussing his auction and he's not even a member here. I'd say that's a pretty good troll. If we cut through all the nonsense and schizo clown humor in that auction, it's plain to see, at least in my opinion, that he had no intention of sending anyone a knife, and particularly not the Soul1.

Again, plain admission that he has no intent of selling a Busse Soul1 as are both his answers to the questions posted. So, imo, wm's intent was to try and walk a thin line between trolling here (doesn't matter whether he can read the forum or not, and there is more than a slight chance that he can.) and not making the listing so devious and underhanded that he gets booted from ebay and/or his other listings pulled.

From where I sit, he accomplished his goal even if he did end the auction early. He stirred the pot from half the internet away.

:p You could be getting a plane ticket to Seol for all I can guess after reading that nonsensical auction. If it was an attempt at humor, it fell short. If it was an attempt at a jab on Jerry and Busse Co, it fell short. Just rediculous/wierd. If he's indeed selling the Soul-1 knife it really hurts no one but himself from my viewpoint by going back on his word...which is all you really got at the end of the day. The measure of a person. After all, though Jerry had people agree or sign an agreement when purchasing these knives to not show pictures or show/talk about the knife to people I believe he did so more in the spirit of fun rather than covering his back in regards to the military background of the knife. I don't believe he would put himself in any vulnerable legal position over something so trivial....but I do believe he likes to make his job as entertaining to him AND us as he can. You gotta please the fans right :D?

Still, too bad though. Implications aside, your word should be your word and is not to be broken.

an interesting hypothesis that seems reasonable. that said, ebay isn't the place to pull sh-t like that. given that 1) he's selling a series of busse knives, 2) there is legitimate evidence that a knife made by busse combat as a military overrun was titled soul1 and 3) you cannot sell intangible items of any kind through ebay, it all adds up to him breaking ebay rules that could get his account permanently shut down.

I doubt the world will be a better place if his account is permanently suspended (ebay takes bans VERY seriously), but it would make me feel a little better.
 
But then Amy would have to post pictures of her Horton collection, and I don't think that is going to happen.:eek::p:cool::D I think I just made it off the list and now I'm back again.


Lycosa Lounge has a ring to it though.
