I think our freind may have surfaced again with a new screen name. If I am wrong, however, I am profusely sorry. The Screen name, along with his email address seems all too "convenient" for lack of a better word.

I IM ed him over AOL after he says he is interested in trading and tells me he wants to trade me his "98 Satin Commander" for my Buck Strider. I don't think anyone if their right mind would do a trade like that. He asks for pictures, I tell him to look at www.badassknives.com, then he says hold on while I look at the pictures and signs off. Just struck me as really wierd.
 
Chris: I posted this (below) when this thread was first opened by Ed. I found the coincedence a little too much to take. Especially now that we find his email address is an AO-Hell account. What do they give you now, 10 email addresses? And you can keep recycling them forever...if "Xavier" AKA EmersonGuy is really "Dennis" AKA TheUsualSuspect AKA Iced Saphire AKA Sharp Maker AKA TheTacticalOne, this has just got to STOP! I'll email Cougar and have him compare the IP's.

TheUsualSuspect was not an AOL user. Emerson Guy is using AOL and appears to be in the same general geographical area as Iced Sapphire, who is also an AOL user ... for whatever that's worth.
 
Cougar, I'd ask you to ban all the suspected aliases, but i suppose their is no way to "PROVE" that it's all the same guy. This is seriously making this website not fun anymore.
 
Hmmmmm I was wondering about that one. Just little hints left here and there that could easily be overlooked but maybe not enough to say anything just yet.

So Mr. Allen if this other fella is Iced Sap would you count this as the last chance or the last bit of tolerance he was allowed to use up? Even though he didn't start any trouble......yet he did agree to only post under the username Iced Sap and if you look into it any further and find out that he is him I'm thinking we can do with him what 80 out of the 90 votes wanted to do with him in the first place.

Remeber also that several votes ( I can't believe I'm going to say this :) ) Confused on the voting process so even the 10 that voted to keep things the same is actually much less than that. Not only that but how many of those votes are from Iced and his other personalities?

I'm not twisting your arm here but I'm letting you know how I feel and probably everyone else following this thread feels. I'm a moderator on another forum and it ends up, somtimes, more than what you'd want to deal with but I think the members here have voiced their opinions and would like to see action other than slapping Jr. Iced Sap on the wrists.

For what it's worth, we're not stuck ... I'm investigating, got several more things to look at right now; I may know more soon and I'll keep you posted....

For those who don't think troll-hunting is fun, why not just ignore them? Attention only feeds them anyway ... you can find some fun in other threads and just don't go to this one anymore if it doesn't amuse you.

I hate to see something like this spoiling things for anybody ... I'm getting some helpful tips from various members in this thread and in email, too, but we don't all have to put all our energy into the hunt ... if it's not fun for you, don't feel obligated....
 
Oh and if I'm wrong please correct me but wasn't TheUsualSuspect a Hotmail account. I don't think it's too hard to get one of those even being on AOL. Is it?

"TheUsualSuspect" lists an email address of usualsuspect_cqc7@hotmail.com and the "Usual Suspect" guy posting at Tactical Forums lists an email address of usualsuspectcqc7@aol.com. Now isn't THAT interesting???? ;) A little too much coincidence me thinks. Now we see Mr. EG posting from an AOL account in the same area as Mr. Iced...

I've been following this thread since I cast my vote to dismiss "Tiny Testicular One" "Iced Sapsucker"early on and watched it grow to outlandish perportions as far as the flaming goes. I have one request and that is...Please don't confuse me with that clown. Just because I registered in the same timeframe as him/it as someone pointed out, don't throw my name into the mix. We can't go accusing every new person of being "The Tiny Titted One" as Couger pointed out. There are millions of AOL members as well, so lets not condemn them as well. Every new person who registers here deserves a fair chance to prove themselves.I'm asking for mine. Don't put my name and his/its in the same sentance until I do something to warrent being compared to him.

I realy dislike people who trade on others creativity. Emerson Girl was registered before Emerson Guy and you are trading on her(we think) creativity. I don't care if you are any of the other alias's but be original and don't steal other's ideas. -Dick

You definitely have your chance, at least as far as I'm concerned. Just be mindful that your actions on these Forums may be scrutinized a bit more closely than other newbies. If you are indeed who you say you are, or are NOT who some of us suspect you may be, you shouldn't have any problems.

I DO have to agree with Dick about the creativity thing. That was the first thing that sent up a warning flag...copying another member's name. Other flag raisers:
  • You do not list an email address. Why is that??
  • You do not list a location. Again, why is that?
  • You use an alias that was copied from another Suspect.
  • You use AOL, and according to your IP address(es) are located in the same geographical area as Mr. Iced Saphire.
  • Finally, your writing style is somewhat similar to Mr. IS/TTO/SM/TUS.
Far be it from me to condemn you without having solid evidence, but there are just too many coincidences. BUT, as I said above, if you act like a decent, upstanding member of this community, I have no problems. If you act like a Troll, I'm quite certain you will be banned. The ball is in your court. Now, lets get back to some decent knife (and Emerson! :D ) conversation, shall we? :)

I don't know why I didn't put my address on my profile, Just thought I'd put something different. For what it's worth, I live in Gaithersburg Maryland.
As far as my alias goes,I registered before I even found out there was an Emerson Forum here. I thought I was being original. If I stepped on a toe or two I would be happy to change my user name if it's that important. Is it? When I sign up for the USN forum I will choose another name.
I'm sorry if we have similar writing characteristics. That I really can't explain or really do anything about.

Thanks Wolf it's good to be here. I just hope someone talks to Chris Connoly because he is really giving me a hard time. Him and I had a short converstaion on AOL instant messanger about trading my 98 commander for a Strider folder, Midway through the converstaion my computer froze and I had to cut it short. Last night he emails me stating he has already traded the Strider. Then he Instant messages me and interogates me about what knives I own and what I do for a living and then tells me I can't afford the knives I own because I'm only a security guard and work on customizing cars.(all production for the exception of the CQC5 that I got from a guy who was down on his luck and needed rent money or he was going to be evicted) I let him continue and then he spent a half an hour accusing me of being TRUSTY. Can someone please talk to him, I'm not here to make enemies.
