Xavier, on BF, the standard line in knife transactions is "if ya snooze, ya lose". As hot as Striders and Emersons are, put one up for sale/trade and getting 50 e-mails is not unusal. I put up a basic Strider MFS and got so many E-mails I was quite surprised. I was even offered more than retail because the person could not order on-line as he did not have a credit card. So when your computer locked, Chris probably had five others waiting in line and he just moved to the next. And thats all it takes. "SOLD", unless you folks uttered that you had a "deal", if ya computer crashes, the knife will be gone by reboot!

As far as thinking you might be the testicular one, or IS as I like to call the troll, you just have to understand how many times he disappeared only to reappear and then engage in the most bizarre story and fairy tales one has ever read. the Usual suspects are a little snake-bitten. Taking the "Emerson" name as any part of your screen name can sometimes ruffle feathers.

Good luck on BF. The place is awesome. There are 99% of the membership who are true knifeknutts and I would not hesitate to shake their hand anywhere, anytime. but that one-percent....They sure have made life tough for NEWBIES and hopefully you will understand why the longer you stay.

If you really are the Tortured Teenage omp-hole or Iced saphire [IS], I think someone would have already had you for lunch. Just take things slow and be careful not to tell war stories. BF is full of silent heroes and those are the toughest kinds on the planet!!!..........wolf;) ;)
 
Well, if the person reall is IcedSaphire/TTO. etc... and CAN be proven, then a ban is approprtiate.

However, this is WAY out of line. You guys wanted to ban him simply for his choice of screen names? That is arrogant and ignorant. I know you guys are fond of the "usual suspet" term and have a lot of respect for it. That's perfectly fine, but that term is has been around before most of you (and yes me) were even born. Jumping on the poor kid for his choice of screen name is totally ridiculous and out of line. I don't like trolls either, and I registed here with my real name. But I would rather have to put up with trolls then to see this turn into an elitist society with our heads shoved so far up our collective ass that we can't even see who is a troll and who isn't. Give the kid a break and relax. YOU know you are a usual suspect and what it means. Be proud of that. But cut the kid some slack and don't try and hang him for his choice of screen name. I think he should change his name, but voluntarily. Forcing him to change his name or ban him is not required and shouldn't even be an option right now. Running off everyone to keep the trolls out is not the way to go.

I never wanted to ban him because of his choice of a User Name alone. Given his background and the fact that so many people, myself included, have "Usual Suspect" in our Signature Line, we are loathe to be remotely associated with such a person, Jeremy. That's all.

How would you like it, honestly, if someone registered with your name and placed "Jr." on the end and then he went apesh*t and started posting all sorts of nonsense like this person does?

Jeremy, he did this for a reason. It was a slap. He should be banned, he was not some merely cool guy that came on here and said, "Wow, the 'Suspects' are cool, I think I will name myself that." Nor was he "discovered" in another Forum and was a fan of the movie of the same name. No, he came in HERE and his writing is easily identifiable.

Therefore, it is not arrogant to want him banned for using that name.

Mr. Reynolds

At first I was offended that he took the username TheUsualSuspect. I did have a problem with it but didn't think it was a big enough problem to warrant saying anything.

But he decideds to attack one of OUR members and that's where I had a problem.

Upon further digging into the problem, done by others here, plenty of facts has been found that would link the identity of Iced Sap. (formerly known as TTO) to all of his identities. So ALL of them have been a problem in several forums. Not just OURS SEVERAL and has been caught with his lies and dishonesty before. He has been given a chance that he can stay granted he follow certain guidelines that, which he agreed to, and HAS BROKEN!!!!

Have you been following this issue since it started up? Or did you just read this thread and judge your opinion on these posts?

The name is just the tip of the iceberg Mr. Reynolds. To some it's a big piece of this puzzle but it's only a single piece that makes a really bad picture we just want to get rid of. He has shown us he can't follow the rules. He has shown us he doesn't keep his word. To me that seems enough to boot and ban someone off the board! Please tell me now why, again, we shoud give him another chance to decieve us again?

Now on to the list:

1. CAN be proven

That's what we've been trying to do all along! But now you come in here and say we should stop and give the guy a pat on the back and say it's ok, do what you want, keep the name that bothers us and the attack you did on the member. HEY!! THAT's OK TOO :rolleyes:

2. Again Mr. Reynolds that's just a piece of the puzzle. It's one of many reasons we want to be rid of him.

3. Good for you. We're not asking anyone here to register with a real name. Just not that name!

4. Elitist society? Who do you think you are?!? Have you corresponded with our group and discussed things with us? I don't think you'll find a more accepting group. To my knowledge we haven't turned anyone away who has shown an interest that matches ours we have accepted everyone. TILL NOW! We don't want this example to represent our adopted name! We are now known by that title and DO take offense to it being used by someone who has shown themselves dishonorable.

I can turn around and become a real dickhead on the boards.....(SHUT UP EVERYONE WHO ALREADY KNOWS ME :D....I'M TRYING TO MAKE A POINT!.... STOP LAUGHING :D) and change my user name to TheJeremyReynolds and be dishonest and bring shame to your name and promise not to do it but keep on keeping on. But hey let's cut me some slack. Heaven forbid you become and elitist with YOUR head shoved up YOUR ass. You should just brush it off and not even worry about it :rolleyes:

5. Give the kid a break!?!?!? How many breaks are we allowed to have here!?!?!? He's done it before! Got caught! Promised not to do it again! Did it again! Attacked a member! So lets give him ANOTHER break?!?!?!?

6. We are proud of it. That's why we are taking the actions we're taking. If we weren't proud we wouldn't care what the kid was doing and let him destroy the name and continue to troll for emotions and responses through lies. Be Proud of That. If you looked around and took notice "WE ARE!"

7. One more time. This isn't happening JUST BECAUSE of the Screen name. Add up all the other problems. If we had the "3 stikes your out rule" he'd be outta here, as he should be.

8. He agreed to follow the rules and the guidelines given to him for not changing screen names and he did it AGAIN. Enough volunteering to be honest, enough volunteering to promise to follow the rules. WE don't want him to volunteer. We want him GONE. Voluntarily or not GONE IS GONE and with him GONE IS GOOD.

9. Well it is......get used to disappointment.

10. About the only thing I agree with you on your post. Yes the road not to go down is chasing all the newcomers away. If we did that our group would not enjoy the company of what others can give to the group.

BUT Ya still can chase away the trolls and we don't intend to stop doing that.

Emerson Guy is indeed TTO/SM/IS. In Whine and Cheese I've posted a photo of the e-mail TTO sent me in which he tells me that he's never leaving.

I have communicated with several suspects and never felt like I was not accepted/respected because I don't "love" Emerson knives. Good knives, just not my thing (especially at the premium prices of customs on the secondary market.) However, I am still basing my comments on the assumption (yes, i know what that will get me) that TheUsusalSuspect is NOT IS/TTO. If he is, then I stick by my guns that say ban him. As cougar said, there is no real evidence to prove they are one in the same. Until there is, then he should be treated as a different identity. Can you really blame the kid for being defensive and fighting back when so many people jump on him so quickly? Unless it can be proven he is IS/TTO, then all these ban comments are based upon his choice of screen names and I disagree with that.

I was not refering to any specific group when I said "eltist society." I did not claim the Usual Suspects or any other group was that. I simply stated I don't want BFC in general to turn into that. Especially at the expense of running away innocent bystandards who are falsely accused of being a troll. TUS may or may not be IS/TTO, and until it can be proven, I say he deserves the benefit of the doubt. And yes Don, that is a beuatiful guitar :D

This is "Emerson Guy" I changed my Name because some people emailed me saying it was not cool to use "emerson" in my name so I fixed it. As far as me being the TTO/IS, I'll say this. I give you all my word as a gentleman that I'm not him. If you care to take coincidence and opinion over a mans word that's your choice to make. Just don't go publicly accusing me of falsly representing myself. A guy on here vampire gerbil did the same thing and was making public apologies a week later. And since when is a person confined to only use one shapening system?

If you really were a new person on bladeforums and people treated you the way we have, you would have left. No one in their right mind would sit and defend themselves and try to rationalize things like you do. The reason you do is because you are the same prick, and you have something to be defensive about. Everyone knows it. I used to wonder what was wrong with your life that you had little else to do then bothering people on an internet bulletin board. Now I don't care. Change your name every week if you want to *******, we all know who you are.:)

Those are indeed beautiful guitars! The first thing I thought was, "Paul Reed Smith" then as I scrolled down, saw they were running comparisons to PRS Guitars...interesting.

The bodies are simply beautiful, never played one though, hell, have not played anything for five years!
